Can anyone comment on how loud these PSU's are? From the specs, the Noisetaker has 2x8cm fans, vs the 12cm fan for the Liberty. It seems that the noisetaker is obviously geared more towards being quieter, but I would think that the liberty would be quieter with the 120mm fan. Its really too bad that the noisetaker doesn't have the sleeved and modular cables that the liberty has... that is one sweet looking PSU!

I have the Noisetaker 600watt, it's been treating me very well. It is VERY quiet and I cannot tell that it is even running (that assessment is based on noise level). Modular cables introduce resistence, which is why the best PSU makers do not use Modular PSU's.

My liberty 620 is whisper quiet. The 1 120mm fan, I believe, is actually quieter than the 2 80mm fans. Could be that it spins around 700-1000RPM, but the damn thing is probably the quietest item in my case... lol.

i have a 500w liberty and a noisetaker.

the liberty is quieter than the noisetaker imo.

PC Power and Cooling offer a modular PSU along w/ Antec, SilverStone and OCZ to name a few. ;) Here ya go..

I own the Liberty series and it is very quiet. :)

Just to be clear as of yet PC Power and Cooling does NOT. Performace PC does modify PC Power and Cooling PSU's and sells them as modulars.

Thanks, my bad, I read this and got confused. :) PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool 510 Series Modular with PFC
I still feel that a few of the top PSU makers do use Modular PSU's however. ;)

What in this world does not use connectors? They are most likely not used due to increased overhead and cost of implementation. If it were that big of a deal the PSU would be soldered directly into the motherboards power regulation and distribution circuitry. Cars, airplanes, boats, trains, buildings, homes are all filled with connectors, splices, junction blocks, lugs, etc. You're dealing with 12 volts here, not 300,000. Yeah the molex connectors and similar are not ultra high quality connectors, but again, low amps and low volts.

I have the Enermax Liberty 500watt PSU. It is an EXCELLENT psu. I'm very pleased. It powers a 4800+, A8N32-SLI, X1900XTX, 2x74gb Raptors, 2x250gb Seagate 7200.9s and a DVD-RW. No problems, ultra quiet and rock solid voltage. I would not hesitate to buy another one.
