No, it was not posted. That was the link for the 2007FP, NOT the widescreen model.Carbon_Le said:It was already posted in another thread. I think one above you. Link : http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1026935 .
I don't see it here...dtos01 said:HDCP Support????

Quite frankly, it's hard to trust info posted here that's not directly from the manufacturer. There were other threads claiming this was to be announced last week (never happened). So, this previous thread may NOT have been accurate-- hence my post linking to Dell and my stated opinion based on such.H2VO said:Don't go acting all surprised... this was all known about month ago...

Oh nice, I'm going to have to look into that one. Still want to wait for offical word from Dell on what the 2007WFP is going to have in it, but from that stuff, it's looking pretty sad compared to the rest of the widescreen market.

...is buttered ass a good or a bad thing? I'm sorta torn there...it has potential for both.

I expected a much faster panel.

kubebot said:I own the NEC 20WMGX2 and its $$$ but worth it. They use the new LG S-IPS panels which look amazing.
As far as the new Dell panels aren't they now being manufactured by Samsung? Which would explain the technical differences like 8 to16ms. Not saying Samsungs are bad I just mean Dell might be getting a deal from Samsung for lesser quality panels.

I have been waiting to purchase a new monitor since last september. I keep waiting and waiting. Waiting for HDCP, waiting for faster panels. waiting for the 2007 or 2407. Since I am not happy with anything out there now, I may just get the 2005 to hold me over until something really special comes out.
