IE7 is not detecting the [H] RSS feeds and never gives me the option of subscribing (icon remains "greyed" out). This is working with other sites, am I missing something here?

thanks in advance,

Brent

IE 7 is an unknown quantity at this point since it is still in Beta. I run it and it is full of glitches all across the board. Maybe someone has a quick fix for your problem, but in all honesty it looks like you will have to wait until the bugs are worked out, hopefully when it goes RC or Gold.

Thats what I was thinking. Strange that it is working with other sites but not the [H].

Thanks again,

Brent

Hardocp needs to add the following code for every rss feed between the <header> tags of their site for the browsers to detect rss feeds and show they are available. The browsers aren’t smart enough to phrase the entire page and pluck out the rss feeds. You need to tell the browser they are avaible to the user with the following.

example:
Code:
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Article Feed for [H]ardOCP [H] Console" href="http://www.hardocp.com/RSS/hconsole.xml" />

Doing that for every RSS feed will bring up the ever popular orange rss feed button on the browser (FireFox & IE7) alerting users of the feeds available on the site.

The RSS feeds don't work for me either and i'm using Firefox 1.5.
Same here. I'm using 1.6a, and it didn't detect the RSS feeds at all on the site, but they were working fine with another news reader (WizzRSS and Sage) up until today. Now I get this error with any news reader :

Lot of work going on today, sorry for the outages.

They are working now!

Sweet....

The enthusiast and consumer links on the home page still don't work for me.

Also, I noticed that the latest articles section doesn't contain the featured articles, which might be a good idea for people that just check the RSS feed.

I am using the small orange "RSS" icon on the IE7 toolbar. It "lights" up when I browse to a web page that offers a feed. It gives me 7 choices for the different [H] feeds and all are working.

Same in FF 1.5 and 1.6a. Also works now with WizzRSS and SageRSS.

Hmm, I wonder why they aren't working for me. I don't have the rss button on the browser and the consumer and enthusiast links don't work...
