Are those the twin bosses, one with an axe, one with a sword?
If so, they were a royal pain in the butt to beat, I was quite frustrated by the time I beat them. Basically, you have to attack the one with the sword. Then the one with the axe will enter an animation where he takes a giant overhand swing at you, and get his axe stuck in the ground. While his axe is stuck in the ground, you have to avoid the sword guy (sometimes impossible) and wail on the axe guy as much as you can. After a few strokes the axe guy will get his axe unstuck, and you have to repeat the process. After a few rounds of this you'll get one of those flashes where you can do the speed kills on the axe guy, if you hit it right then you'll have to do a little more of the attack sword guy/wail on axe guy routine, and then you'll have one more flash where you do a speed kill routine and if you nail that I think you win at that point.
Was VERY difficult for me. Just keep trying, eventually you'll get it though you'll want to throw your controller through the wall.

Yep, it's those two. Thanks for the advice. That has been my latest tactic, though I haven't been able to stay away from sword guy enough to make much difference. It's good to know that I am not the only one frustrated with this level. The game is great, though, and I doubt I would like it if it was too easy.
I don't know....did it once then found it to be easy....
Like they said, whack on the sword guy until the animatic starts of the axe guy coming forward. The moment you see it, tumble to the side (left or right). The trick I found is then to just do 2 hits on the axe guy, then jump over him so that the axe guy is now between you and the sword guy, then hammer the axe guy until he gets unstuck. Doing that keeps the sword guy far enough away from you that he'll swing but not hit. Once the axe gets unstuck, roll away from him and towards the sword guy, and repeat.
When I just tried it as a bashfest it took me about three or four times dying to beat them. Once I tried the above I went through the fight without dying twice, nice and easy. Another big thing is to be patient. It'll take two or three times hitting the axe guy like that to get the speed kill, and I think two speed kills to end the fight. You're not going to die due to running out of time, so don't be afraid to leap away from both and reposition yourself.
You really want to talk controller throwing. Try getting stuck at the beginning of the last health upgrade path with no sand. Argh.....
