xbox 360 2nd Shipment? I got mine!!

just got a message from EB that my x360 was in stock. went to the store and picked it up along with PGR3...installing it now. I'll take pics later as well as a copy of my receipt if there any doubters in the house....
 
I don't think the reciept is necessary. Just take some nice pics of PGR3 and you'll be fine.

almost done setting up....just tying up the wires
and holy crap that power brick is HUGE!

Enjoy it, this week I'm picking up an external USB hard drive for all my music so I don't have to use WMC (it's a memory hog) and another wireless controller. Just got NFS:MW a couple days ago and I'm having a blast.

Sorry to hijack, but you CAN use a USB hard drive on the xbox 360? :confused:

yes, any usb device that is seen as a harddrive on a pc without installing anything works the same way on 360

As far as I know you can... the LLamma Xbox360 uses a USB laptop drive...
 
kinda hijacking my own thread here.....anyone know if you can use the wired controller on the PC? i looked at some at BB today and it looks like a standard usb jack....but then I went into the computer section and they had what looked like the same controller that said "for windows PCs" but wasnt in the same package as all the other xbox 360 controllers.

im on project gotham tv now...took a bunch of pics and it looks great
just got to upload them to a website so I can host them on this thread....anybody know how to do that?
 
i got mine today as well...
i didnt get any games as i didnt have the money, BUT i didnt gamefly PGR3 and PD0 like 2 weeks, and they have been sitting on my desk taunting me ever since...


ANYWAY...

since i don't have an HDTV, i picked up the VGA cable adapter last week and hooked it all up today when I got off work.

Holy crap was I impressed. It really did surpass my expectations, especially Perfect Dark Zero.

My 17" monitor is a little small, but its gonna be better than my 20" non HDTV...

Got to here, http://www.imageshack.us/ ,

click on the browse button,

pick your pic that you want to upload,

click upload

then either copy the following lines

(examples)

this one just makes the pic be full size on this thread, so just think that example pic at 1600x1200 instead of a thumbnail.

then press Preview Post to see if it is working.

I just ordered mine on Dec 8th from Gamestop.com
Just got off the phone with them, it will be shipping tomorrow morning and I will have it Wednesday :cool:

Prolly going to throw this one up on ebay too....although I would love to play some PGR3
 
What # where you on the waiting list at gamestop B&M? Where you supposed to be on first or second shipment?

I'm wondering b/c i am on the second shipment and am starting to wonder if I will get a call this week.

It's so beautiful hearing that other fellow gamers are finally recieving their 360's! You don't know how you guys have managed to stay patient missing out on such fun! COD2 is so much more fun and better on my 360 than on my PC.

I was number #29 on EB's list. I pre-ordered on May 10, 2005....needless to say I was pissed when I didnt get it at launch.....reading all the great posts...but I managed to stay patient and got it today
 
btw Madden 2006 for the xbox DOES NOT work on the 360 :(

its a shame cause it has far more content then the x360 version.....not worth paying another $60 just to have better grafix

Yeah I got it working I think I have too many codecs or players.

it would not work on the following players,

Windows Media Player 10

Divx Player

Nero showtime Player

but did work on,

VLC Media Player (one awesome media player plays just about anything, should give it a try.)

and its looks friggen !!!AWESOME!!! Now I want one :( .

I got to wait I live in Australia :( .
 
i wasnt that big of a fan of PGR1....I bought that at launch with the first xbox....didnt bother to get PGR2 since I didnt like the first one. At the store tonight I had to make the decision to get 1 game....wanted a racer....had NFSMW on PC and couldnt see owing it for both...went with PGR3 and I am not disappointed....its very very fun. Great looking game too!

How does it look on the 17"? What res did you set it to and if 1280x720 does it automatically set the max refresh and does it have bars at the top and bottom?

I just got PGR2 ordered and expecting it around thursday sometime. If the thread is still alive by then, I'll tell you how I like it. :p

Edit: Videos finished....I came out of them with a feeling of awe. That cockpit view is totally awesome.
 
I have played PGR2 its pretty good racing game,nice controls,nice graphics,nice gameplay the only thing is I got bored of it sometimes.

Apperently PGR2 and PGR3 at basically the same its just that PGR3 is obviously better cause of the next gen hardware capability's.
 
just got done racing some tracks....simply stunning. The gameplay is great, the graphics look superb. I was able to test drive the Mustang SVT and it sounds great....and has the handling I would expect from a stang (I own a 99 GT).

Anybody have any other requests as to what else I can post?
