Just got my 2405 today and have of course been using it as much as possible, but as I was typing on another forum I noticed this wierd tint shift from one side of the screen to another (red tint on one side to a green tint on the other.)

I'm assuming this isn't normal but is this more likely to be a video card problem or a monitor problem?

Thanks

i guess it could be a video card issue but id check that the dvi cable is firmly in place in both the monitor and your video card. Also change the color settings to try to adjust it appropriatley

Are you sure its not just the angle that you're looking at the screen?

If you shift your angle, colors will change a little bit.

I'll double check the connection today.

It isn't a POV problem, that's what I thought at first too.

I'll also try putting in a different video card in today to see if that helps the problem, thanks for the suggestions.

Can you post a better picture? Back up a little and get the whole monitor in view plus tell us what screen color that is?

Hrm yea I can see the green on the right and red on the left , doesnt seem like something a videocard would cause but its certainly worth a try.

The video card is an X300 SE (what came with the box) I have yet to give my 6800GT a try but will later this evening and I have a second DVI cable I can use.

No I haven't tried the Dell Color ICC file (because I don't know what it is  ) and google isn't helping.

Maybe an ATI guy can help. From the looks of it it may be the color gammas are off..
