I don't know if you all remember me talking about 1A-cooling or not, but they are a German water cooling company making some of the higher performing low flow kits. Not as pretty as some, but the performance is right up there with Alphacool and they are alot cheaper. They have some pretty cool options for installing the cooling system also making it super easy to get your system up and running in no time.

Not bad looking stuff, but how could it possibly be such high performance when it looks like they are using a Eheim 1046/8 pump? ;)
 
I know someone on guru3d.com who is using 1A and he likes his setup a lot. At the time he set his up he said it was comparible to AquaComputer in performance... but a lot cheaper. well, not sure about that, but it's supposed to be well engineered cooling equipment. :)
 
I definitely like the radiator housing :D My comment about the Eheim pump was a tongue-in-cheek jab at Bio-Hazard

Sounds like we should have our own cooling review column. Those products that get a +/+ can send us some scoots for agreeing on the same thing. :p

If you re-read my post, I said for low flow systems and about equal to Alphacool. Read the post completely please, and they still don't compete with my external box as stated in my review.

Overclockers.com reviewed these before. They are considered one of the best. I was thinking about purchasing these when they were in GER months ago. Highly recommended but alas, already have mine chucking along nicely.

Nice review, but...what's the deal with doing a watercooling review based on using MBM? Come on! Aren't you the one of those who rags on AC reviews for doing the same thing? :eek: :p

Nope, never ragged on anyone for using it as long as the little statement about the temps only reflecting my systems temps and so on is there. I and everone else knows that system bios report differently so there's no way to get a god reading unlless you spend a lot of extra money on expensive test equipment. Which I would love to do if I weren't a disabled vet living on a fixed income. There's only 2 sites that currently have that test equipment and one hasn't done reviews in sometime now as you know. Lee at system cooling is another, but I'd hate to ask him what he has tied up in his lab. More than likely it's more than I make in a year.................... :eek: So that's why I just do the real word testing so people can see what they might expect to see out of a like system.
And MBM reports temp just as well as any other bios reporting software out there. Now if you would like to buy me a good high quality digital thermaometer, I'd gladly take it, I could get a little closer reading that way.
 
Well...I had been thinking of getting a Fluke thermometer. I might see my way clear to let you borrow it on ocassion. :) What Backwoods do you live in?
 
The Fluke is the one I'm shooting for, it's one of the best.................. :D
But even with one of those you can only get a little more consistant results from board to board. The temps still won't be 100% correct as you can't get to the center of the die which is the hotest part.

I'm originally from the mountains of Colorado (9500 ft. Divide area) but moved to Missouri for medical reasons................ :cool: Lower elev makes it much easier to breath..... ;)

I'd buy that, and put it on the top of my Super Lanboy, lol... I would totally drill holes for that baby anyday...
 
Anbody know if those external radiator mounts will match up to the hole pattern on an Aqua Computer Evo rad?

That's hard to say, depends on what your budget is, the standard manual ones start at around $200. The high end ones don't have a price listed on their site so you'd have to call.................. :eek: For just checking computer temps, one of the manual one would be enough, but you'd have to chart your own data..................... :D
