Ok my goal is to make this computer as quiet as possible wile still keeping as cool as possible for OCing.

My specs are:
64 3500 venice
2 512 ocz ddr600
evga sli motherboard
evga 7800 gtx
74gb wd raptor
antec phantom 500watt psu.

Water Cooling:
swiftech mcw6000 - cpu
swiftech mcw55 - gpu
eheim 1250
thermochill dual 120 rad
blackice micro rad

The case im working with is a coolermaster Praetorian, the older versions.

Thats how i was plannin on the loop.

So far i have the mobo all the water cooling stuff and my graphics card so im currently designing a ram cooler, and planning the layout of the case, painting grills and small stuff.

I need some ideas as far as best way to run the loop, ways to eliminate noise from hdd, fans, pump, anything else. ill post some pics tonight of what i have so far.

k i have some pics of my stuff, my stuff has been sitten at ups all day but they didnt deliver it or let me go get it so thats sucks.

really hoping i get the rest of my stuff tommarow

You know, when I first saw the motherboard, I thought "That's the EXACT blue and yellow my legos were as a kid!" Are you planning on matching the case to the MB color?

got the rest of my crap finally can really get started

000_0774.jpg

mounted my small rad on the back

sleeved teh cables on teh power supply, the ones im gunna use anyways.

000_0777.jpg

started cutting the holes for teh top radiator. got too late and too much noise so i had to give up on that for the night.

got to start putting the guts together

hoping to get the dual 120 rad mounted tommarow and start leak testing the water system

This is looking very cool :). That rad seems a little small but then i dont no much about these things  .
PS: What is teh?? Think your looking for THE!!!!!!!!

do you have any replacement planned for the NB fan? those fans can be tiny & whiny.

You are going to leak test with everythihng out right?

I have seen to many MBs get FU**ED because of people leaktesting with the system fully running.

oh my gawd man thats soo effing sweet....i LOVE IT....and ur using one of my favorite cases too :p keep us updated, i really wanna see this beast wen ur done with it

BTW did u cut the top 120mm holes with a dremel?

You should make a rad box for the top rad =O, it looks like the black is too light for the Preatorian.

Also, why did you ditch the small form factor system? =O, I liked it =(.

put some weather stripping on the bottom of the pump

suspended my hdd

working on wiring up everything
000_0788.jpg

i dont not likeing how the rad sits on the top there, doesnt really flow with the case at all. i need some way to make itblend in a little better.

If I'm not mistaken you have that waterblock upsidedown...never tried to use my 6000's in that direction...but if you read the install directions i think it tells you not to have it like that.

According to Swiftech, you should mount the block in a way that the outlet is higher than the inlet so that no air becomes trapped in the block.

damn, howd u do that with a dremel? its lik PERFECT.....as for the rad, i think it would look badass if u mounted it inside, under the top panel and put the extra 120mm fans on top and make a casing for it ;)

trace your circle whatever size you want, use a cut off disk to get as much material gone as possible then use this...
#9901 Tungsten Carbide Cutter
9901.gif

it will shave metal to a very flat clean edge, doesnt work well at all for cutting out shapes though

i was plannin on putting the rad inside from the begining but when i got the case and the radiator i realized that the little air release screw wasnt factored in on the sites dimension specs so it wouldnt fit.

000_0789.jpg

i got some molding that im gunna paint black to mach should make the radiator blend in with the case a bit better. ill see how it looks painted before i put it on there.

ran into a nice little problem right at the bottom of the loops,
000_0790.jpg

pump leaked so i had to drain the entire system retape the threads and fill it back up, leak tested for 2 days and im gunna turn the system on today

Nice work man.

I dig that system, I haven't seen a green PCP motherboard in a long time, lol. I dig it.

You have done some truly beautiful work on this project. I am a guy who takes his modding seriously. So keep up the great work you are doing . I look forward to more pics.
Your Swiftech WaterBlock as you seem to know is oriented correctly. As to the color of the pcb. Anyone who would look at your work and have nothing more to comment on than that . Simply should not comment. Again Nice work!

000_0796.jpg

got the molding in place looks a lot better i think, the flash of the camera makes it stand out but it really doesnt.

000_0800.jpg

graphics OCing was going well i was hitting 8800 in 3dmark with my gpu hitting 39* but my ram was getting rediculously hot. you can see by that pic that my exaust fans werent even close to the ram.

000_0802.jpg

000_0804.jpg

so i made some brackets out of plexi to hold fans out directly over the memory, ya its a bit louder but i dont wanna risk blowing my card up.

for the most part im all done here, im most likely gunna be swapping out this mobo for a dfi in a couple days so ill post some picks of how that goes.
