I'm changing my tubing from my 1/2" so I can route tubing better and change some placements. The question is. All my stuff is 1/2" so should I get the 7/16th or 3/8th...

7/16" will be easier to get over the barbs. Probably just me, but I'd be nervous stretching 3/8 over 1/2 barbs without worrying that the tubing might eventually split.

Rady-eye....lol. Yer right, the 7/16 bends very tight without kinking. A whole lot better than the 1/2 tubing.

the thing i love, is that my 7/16th masterkleer doesnt fog like my 1/2in clearflex does. i could literally watch it fog. :/

I'd definitely go with the 7/16 ID. It will be easier to get over the barbs, allow for more waterflow, and will still bend much easier than 1/2"ID without kinking. :)

I went 3/8's over 1/2" barbs. Its not as hard as everyone thinks it is to get them over. A dab of rubbing alcohol will get them right over and for a sealed fit, lol.

Besides, I like the look of the smaller tubing compared to 1/2".

Also got a MAJOR gain in performance.

7/16 and 3/8 (most 3/8) have the same OD, so there really isn't much reason not to get 7/16 (unless you are running some insane pressures in your loop and want the extra tubing width, but if that were the case your tubing would come off at the fittings first before the tubing had a problem :D

I reallly liked the 7/16 tubing on the APEX kit............ But on my main rig I'm still using 1/2 inch because there's no way to get the smaller stuff over the 5/8 barbs on both my heater cores........................ :D And besides, I've got a ton of room to work with and the smaller tubing would really get lost in all that space.

i use both 1/2in and 7/16th to be truthful, but i only use the 1/2in for my pump and heatercore, and the 1/2in peice going to the inlet of the pump is only about 2 inches, because a t-line right before it, and the 1/2in on the heatercore doesnt hafta make bends and there is no way im getting 7/16th over my cores barbs.

That's something that I haven't seen yet, but if it's not out yet, I'm sure it will be soon.

Just color or dye your water, you will get the same effect.

Not sure what water block(s) he is using, but I thought I might point out that putting dyes into water causes problems with some waterblocks. Most notably any of Cathar's Storm blocks, or the Swiftech Storm.

Yeah, will be using the storm waterblock.

Also, the red dyes seem to end up 'pink', not a true red. But the red tubing is RED. :D
