Just as the topic says, i hear people don't like their products

I'm specifically looking for some quiet fans that move a good amount of air, their 120mm fans look good to me

TIA

I sampled some of their 80mm and 120mm models -- they did not sound like they were putting out 11dBA or whatever they're rated at. I use the Panaflo rating system for reference... so it sounds like the SilenX fans are getting their sound measurements from farther away than the usual 1m.

Besides, they're way overpriced. If you want quiet, get the Nexus Real Silent 120mm (or the Yate Loon D12SL-12).

Agreed fully. I have two of each and they are the exact same, so same some cash and get the YateLoons.

i have them and i like them. i got some what of a deal and i have a bunch of them .

sound will be subjective. i for one cant stand the highpitch noise some fans make, the silenx fans don't do this ( even the 80 mm ).
+ there main ofice is but a few miles from where i work so if i ever have a issue with one of the fans i am walking it over and getting it taken care of.

I dont know if it's the same in the US, but in Canada, one 120mm nexus fan is about $20. If that's priced lower than a Silenx fan then...

i like my 120mm panaflo M1A thats cooling my whole system on my dual heater-core, might get another one and reduce rpm but it seems you get more gains out of fewer fans then you do a lot of quiet fans(had about 10 fans when i had air cooling, all at low rpm low noise, but aparently it adds up) all i hear from my pc is the sound of the air flow, and i can barely hear the dual 50mms i have on my vid card that i will solder a resistor in-line to slow down a little bit, i thought the 6800s had variable fan speed vs temp, i was wrong :(

I just did a quick price check on froogle, and the lowext price on the Nexus 120mm is $15 and the SilenX 120mm is $23.

A cheaper option is to get this and undervolt it.

Why would you under volt it?

Anyway...the YateLoon and Nexus 120mm fans are the exact same thing....YateLoon makes them for Nexus.

If you want it any quieter. The Nexus branded ones are slower/quieter than the Yate Loon branded fans.

I have both. I have run them side by side and they are the same in my opinion. Speedfan also shows them running the same. They both have the same model number on them too.
