Ive been playing only single player and seems real comlplicated....

heck i would sell it if i could, would the store buy it back. i dontcare if i get half price.

Noone pm me, im not giving any keys, etc or selling thru here.

Its ard to see whos the enemy, i like it but i prefer a tad simpler.. too much into it......

Store will probably give you around $30 for it, you could sell it to a friend for maybe $40.

If you don't see a blue name above someone's head, they're an enemy.

yeah. green is the worst. if their name is green, kill them as quickly as possible.

the last type of game i played similar was.

C&c Generals..

It was not too complicated..

Looking for a les complicated game as i am not into the real complicated ones anymore....

shoot the red guys and the guys who don't show up on radar

Strategy guides for FPS are pretty lame, IMO.

If you can't play then:

A. You need Experience
B. New Prescription (lenses or drugs)
C. Are a chick
D. Recently had a frontal Lobatomy
E. Your computer is a POS

If BF2 is too complicated then you need to resort to Solitaire. Is it possible that you just don't understand it? I mean, all you do it try to stay close to the enemy's flags long enough to capture them and then defend the ones you've captured. Pretty easy if you ask me.

What's so complicated about it?

Good one.

I had a feeling I was going to bring at least one of you out of the woodwork ;)

Not to be sexist, but I have seen psychological studies that prove that men have a better three dimensional spatial reasoning than women do (with a big enough statistical sample).
There are always expections ot the rule. Like the guy posting above :)

At first I could not tell which team was which but now I can spot a difference from a mile away. Use your radar if your not sure.

yup, whats so complicated? usually, you can tell the enemy from the clothing, if your US, the mec and china wear DARK clothing and i think they have moustaches/beards were as the US had light colored clothing and i have yet to see a moustache/beard.

just put your crosshair over the guy you think is bad and if it shows up red, kill him, blue w a name, dont. not hard at all.

Best strategy is practice. I really hated the game when I first started to play. My friends kept pushing me to play and promised it would get better. They were right! I really like the game now. On a side note: I hear flying the helicopter is much easier with a good joystick.

What about telling snipers apart? Don't they all wear the same gillah suit?

LMAO...Yeah, just shoot at the guys with a red tag above their heads. If you have it on the easier setting, you shouldn't have much problem. The maps are particularly large and it gives you some time to get your bearings on how to play the game if you haven't played the BF series before. If you stick with the U.S. squad, your guys will all be in light coloured camoflauge, whereas the MEC and Chinese forces will be in darker coloured camo. Don't get discouraged though, keep playing before you decide to either keep it or sell it off...it's quite a fun game.

I gaurentee you that being a good player at chess is 10x more complicated and requires 10x more dedication than BF2. I quit chess cold turkey because of the dedication required to be better than I was at the time.

As far as getting better in BF2, don't be a lone wolf and stick with your group untill you get the hang of things.

Hey man, you're preachin' to the choir here. I joined the Chess Federation a long time ago, own chess books about specific Sicilian openning variations, and have one of those old school chess computers that is built into the board with the LEDs. I saved all the newspaper clippings from Fisher's illegal rematch in Yugolsavia against Spassky. I was sad, yet elated, when Kasparov was beaten by a computer....

I've moved on to the immediate and overwhelming stimulation of a game like BF2. Plus, not a lot of serious though required...looks prettier...etc.

HOWEVER, picking up the basics of chess is probably easier than mastering the flight of an attack chopper in BF2, among other things. :p

Hehe some nice flames.

Actually only played it for less then 30 minutes, ill give it some more time.I played single player game 3-4 times thats it.

I was playing single player, the first map you can choose.

The assault guy.

sure i shot the hell out of many, but couldnt get into vehicles, etc unless thats an online or get more powerful thing.Couldnt pick up things i saw on the ground..

Ill play with it a while till i get the hang of it. It does look cool and usually i am good once i get going in games.

To the flamers a big middle finger. to those who actualy responded maturely thanks.

laters.. :D

pick up kit is 'G'
get in is 'E'
camera is 'C'

first thing i do when i play a new fps game is go straight to option and study the controls. after thats it's easy gaming.

study all the keys and you're good to go.

there still is a glitch in the game one or more of your team mates may have red names. you shoot them they punish you for tk. so look carefully before you shoot. lol.

Look at the leaderboards and find the top players. Follow them and watch how they move/play/defend.

It would take longer to become a Grand Master in Chess than to become a "Leet" headshot artist. Chess is all in your head, BF2 is more fun :)

/rant about chess because I quit playing it 5 months ago.

Question though..and I am not trying to be an a**, but did you expect BF2 to be a strategy game like C&C...if so...you are in a totally different genre of the gaming world. I used to suck at fps...so I stuck to strategy games like C & C...then I discovered halo for the pc (didn't have the xbox yet) and although I got but butt handed to me time and time again, I kept with it and eventually beat the game. I say just stick with it and then after a few more weeks if you still hate it, get rid of it and get a new game!

Don't believe the hype. I went out and got a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro and I'm worse flying with it than with the kb/mouse ... at least for now. A buddy has started a private server (running the Gulf of Oman) solely for the purpose of flying practice. He and I get on there when we have a spare few minutes and see how long we can keep a heap in the air without crashing. I've gotten a little better, but it'll take a while before I can actually fly competently in a real game.

THe Attack choppers take time to master using kb/mouse. Fine adjustments like hovering and then aiming. The transport helo's are cake.

IT's the fricken jets that I wanna understand. I HATE THOSE DAMN BOMBERS!!! Whenever they cruise in for a bomb load it looks like they're hardly moving, but you get in one and you're across the map in a couple seconds at most. ??

You need an adustable throttle like on a joysitck. With the keyboard the throttle acts like a gas pedal, you have to keep pressing it to go forward. There aren't settings for set throttle rates like 30%, 50%, 80%, 100% (this is easily cured by not having the throttle reduce when you let off the key).

Anyways, you can fly low and slow with a keyboard, but it's a bitch, you have to feather the "gas" to keep the thrust output at a lower rate (as opposed to keeping the key down all the time and giving it 100%).

Also consider they IDed you on one pass, and came back for another to kill you, so you were already lined up.

It has been awhile since I last played it, but doesn't BF1942 have keyboard controllable throttle rates? Maybe they'll add this to BF2.

I'm talking about BF2. :(

Unless I'm missing something painfully obvious.
