Quakecon 2005 announced! Whos going?

I'm definitely far back in the waiting list as I was stupid and didn't sign up when I didn't think I would be able to go, but supposedly there will be peeeeeeeee-lenty of room for us at the resort. Do we need to sign up for the workshop or anything or do we just bumrush the door?
 
I'm going... Will be there bright and early on Tuesday morning.

Oh, my MAME Cabinet PC mod will also be there for everyone to play. Please stop by and introduce yourself and while there play your favorite arcade game.

whats with the announcement on the frontpage? does that mean there will be another [H] party? Or no

I am trying to get everything together to go, well at least to the workshop.

Quick question, can we get into QuakeCon just to look around if we didn't register? I mean, I am not taking my huge ass PC, I am not playing any games, just going for the {H} and to wonder around and check stuff out.

Yeah, when you register you just tell them that you are not interested in the BYOC but you do have to register.

Exactly what I did last year. This year too for that matter :) I'm going revel in the goodness that is the [H] workshop... Nothing more

You MUST register no matter what. You can not enter the QuakeCon event if you're not registered. And there will be no [H] party since the hotel complained about it last year.

we are doing another gtg for anyone who wasnt in town for the lan. tonight at the source (www.tsgaming.net) we will all be meeting up to watch a movie on the projector/surround sound. we will watch whatever people bring.
 
Anyone in the Forest Lane/Midway/Inwood road area that needs a ride (this is in Dallas) drop me a line. I will be leaving to get there around 2pm or so on Thursday.


Hopefully the biggest of the line will be cleared out by then.

Well, none that the general public knows about. ;) There is no official [H]ardOCP party, but I do know where Kyle and I will be on a certain night at a certain location. Don't bother asking because if you haven't been invited, you are not going. Kyle isn't in charge of inviting anyway... and I'm certainly not.

Sadly, the parties like they were in the past is history. (I don't think people tipped the bartenders enough last year either. Cheapskates.)

Damn the first year I finaly get to have the saturday off for Quakecon and the [H] parties are no more. If only my house was bigger :)
 
I just woke up from sleeping since we got back to the hotel from the pre registration line. I think we finally started to move at about 2:45 and we were out of there by 3:30.

I'm gonna try and hit up the video stream on qcon's webpage, even though I'm not there, I wanna witness it all :(

Dammit, I am sooo trying to make it next year.
 
Thus far, this year has been a fkn bust :(

Through all the bs to go through with wife, job, and the travel/wait last night- I set up this morning just to find my video card didn't make the trip. Artifacts galore :mad: on my 6800GT. I don't have the funds to replace it while I'm here either. Crap.

Well, quakecon has a great line up of events this year, and hey, maybe I'll get real lucky in the [H]ard workshop?

It's been a great time, other than my run of bad luck yesterday....god damn was the Sinus Theatre good. So glad I got a copy of that skit....

I'm leaving work now to head up there. Just got done talking with Kyle, Morley, et al. There's not a Hootermeet (as of yet) since there are already plenty of other things going on. If you're there, I'll try and make it a point to meet other [H]'ers if I know where you're at.
 
Sucked ass, I didn't get there tonight till like 7:30, and everything had closed down. No offense, but I have no desire to sit and watch all the rest of you fools just game all night :D So we came home. I am supposed to head back up there for the [H] thing tomorrow, going to try to get up there a bit early.

Are any of the Vendors actually selling anything or are they just advertising? Cause I was hoping to get a hook up or two on some low priced stuff, or hell even some free stuff.

Hey Kyle, hook me up with a 7800GTX buddy, my ticket number is....ah crap I wont get that till tomorrow, I will let you know then. Yall are still doing the raffle style give aways right :)
 
You can get Razer's mousepads, pre-order Quake4, buy Z-boards, and pre-order the SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty.


Beyond that, I'm not sure.

Everything worked fine for me. The only time it got messed up was during the "give-away" session at the end.
 
Well, I managed to win a Logitech Media Elite Keyboard....which I promptly sold off for $20 after the workshop. Didn't want it...the G15 looks great, the MEK has no right windows key or insert key
 
The workshop was a blast. I gave my son the wristbands that Logitech was throwing out, he thinks they are the best thing today. The machines in the BYOC were looking great this year, maybe one year I can actually play.

So I guess I will start waiting for next year........

I didn't see it at all... I kept getting corrupted errors when accessing their .nsv file :confused:
