Circuit City's store ad today has Battlefield 2 for $34.99. Best Buy's ad also shows it for $39.99 but they may price match if you ask. The CC ad shows DVD and CD. BB shows CD.

I've been putting off getting it. I may have to pick it up at CC today.
 
Sweet! Thanks for the heads-up! This is the only reason I ever buy from Best Buy and Circuit City - the price match guarantee. I bought BF2 from BB on 6/23 for $49.99 so it's been less then 30 days - so it's time to go get $15 back! Yep, I'm a devil customer and proud of it! :D
 
Farseer, care to explain how that works (or anybody else, for that matter)? I didn't know that.
 
wipeout you have a 30 day price match gaurantee so if you see a lower price you can just bring in the ad and get whatever they owe you back
 
My local store still shows 49.99 but they did tell me they would price match the website.
 
none of my local stores have the DVD version in stock. I'd get it from the CC website, but they say they are out of stock :( I guess I'll wait longer than I already have been.

I just got back from BB and got the price match - $17.74 back; not bad for a 15 minute round trip. :D Although the clerk called CC to make sure they had it in stock - thankfully the clerk didn't specify which version needed to be in stock.

Also, just to clearify the price match:

Refund of difference + Refund 10% of difference + Refund of taxes
= Devil Customer :D

local stores suck. GoGamer refused to give me back my money

I remember the amount of bass on my logitech 560's. And those are what 2 generations ahead? I bet that sub sounds like an earthquake, heh :D
 
Just picked it up at my local CC for 38 something with tax, and they also gave me the headset that came with pre-orders too o_O

*cough* 3 discs *cough*

All my friends have been playing this together (hacked co-op is the BEST) i guess its time they buy it :p
 
Oh, only 3 discs? That isn't so bad then.

Still, I like being able to pop the DVD in and walk away while it installs. No more babysitting!

I really really really hope that EA/DICE will add LAN w/bots, just like the original Battlefield.
 
Very true. I remember following a guide to modify your UT2004 CD files into a DVD. Hopefully we'll find another for BF2...
