Edit: This unit might not have onboard video, Zbuys pics show a vga port, but it might be a different model. sry if there were any mixups.

Ripped from this thread @ AT, so get in fast as this will likely sell out in hours, or before the day has ended. Ought to make a decent foundation for an htpc, grandpa rig, or whatever else.Sucker has everything onboard including VGA, gigabit lan, firewire and spdif input/output, a heatsink, a better 200w psu (supposedly=300w).

Edit: check their inventory as there may be other SFF refurb deals available (?)

no idea, it may sound stupid but people have used a second psu to power some peripherals. I've seen people with TTGI psu's right on top of their SFF cases, hehe, didn't look half bad either.

Dumb idea, but an idea non-the-less

yeah, but I'd be interested in just switching this out for my current larger PC, because of the price. I dont feel like going through that kind of extra trouble. If the PSU can handle it, I'l prolly buy it, otherwise...hmm...

Actually, i'm not sure if this rig would be an actual upgrade from the one in your sig. A P4 @ 3.4ghz SFF is nothing to sneeze at :). Do you have the 6800gt in your current SFF, and what psu is it using?

actually my 6800GT destroyed that system's psu, lol. Currently I am borrowing an s754 from a friend. I have a 3400+ s754 cpu and this really fits the bill

Honestly, i wouldn't take the chance with a 6800GT, since it costs 3X more than this SFF and even a quality 250watter would have trouble keeping up imho. I could be wrong but it's my 2c.

Would anybody happen to know the answer to his question?

I ordered one, but the confirmation email has me down for two, and billed accordingly. I sent an email to their billing number, so we'll see how this plays out.

^^^

Chance for Zbuy them to prove themselves, at worst call up your CC company and notify them of the error. Heh, if Z-buy bungles this you may end up with a free SFF rig.

If you end with a free one, I have dibs on the second one, no i really do :p . Name your extremely fair price :D :D lol

Yeah, I use this CC for online purchases only, and my CC company is aware of that. I've had good experiences dealing with them in the past.

And I'm very interested how this plays out.

What a great deal. I really don't need one, but I really want one for that price. Hell, my friend would like to build a new rig and this would fit the bill.

It would be nice if it had some OC options. Even if you just get an extra 200mhz out of your cpu, that would make the deal even sweater. Any insight?

Darn i'm tempted to buy

Edit: As per the techreport review, apparently there's a decent amount of tweak & OC options, for a SFF anyway. Version 1.0 seems to be picky about memory, but corsair works fine. Anandtech users have reported receiving version 1.3, which supposedly fix's some quirks found on version 1.0, nice.

No PCI/AGP locks :(
yep, not always a big deal though. That stuff is for people wanting monster oc's, not a wise idea for this setup.

You can usually oc a couple hundred mhz without worrying about pci/agp locks anyway ;)

I got four of these about 9 months ago (before 939 got really cheap) for a small home office. They all work great.

damn, I REALLY need to stop reading this forum, can't afford these new toys I keep wanting to(and having to stop myself) from buyin 8P

With all the deals floating around lately, you can get:

- this rig for $108

- 1 gig of Kingston valueram $54 + tax

- Your favorite IDE hard drive deal $30~$80

- A budget socket 754 cpu $75~$110

And still come out under $300-$350 easily, and you'll have a fairly robust SFF rig.

I'm having real problems keeping myself from buying a new system, and I'm trying to close on a house, i can't spend the extra money....

Great deal, with the memory and etc... I really could use a new system too...

i almost hate you all....

Z-buy emailed me back saying they will bill me for half as much and that the order is corrected. That was quick!

Thumbs up.

i'm let a step away from ordering this thing, but i can't stand noise. 61db is way too much for me. I guess i can replace the cpu fan; however the psu fan will still be there.

They arn't that loud. They spin up full tilt when you first power them up, but they quiet down even before windows loads. I've gamed heavily on them and the fan never got up to full blast.

fuck it i ordered one too.
slap it on the evergrowin amex bill
kept seein it on here and AT so i finally caved in.

i dotn even need it but i always wanted one of these mini pcs.
now to find a cheap s754 which im pretty sure everyone is looking for now

i've thought about buying a couple... but i'm gonna wait and make sure i atleast get my one :)

OH crap I put down alabama as my shipping adress not New York time for a phone call

Just for reference I don't believe this has onboard video as originally stated in the post. It's shows it in the pictures but Biostars site doesn't show video on this model number:
http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/barebone/ideq/200p/index.php3
you know what, this makes sense, i don't recall an nforce3 mobo ever having onboard video (?)

going to edit original post

Sry for the misidentification, i was going by the pics zbuy posted

Can anybody verify for us?
