I'm thinking about picking the game up soon, since its only like 15$ for the X-box version but I could pay like 30$ for the PC Version. I just wanted to know if I'll be able to get into this game even though graphics are not "Great" but they look playable. Is the story good enough to pull me in to play every day?

I had this game and I LOVED it. Played it for about a month straight, and it was fun the whole time. It is for sure worth the money.

Very open ended game so i really had no idea where to go when i started playing it. I just went around stealing stuff for fun. You can steal or kill anyone you want, which makes it much like a real rpg without many restrictions. One of the things i didnt like is that i felt i was fighting the same creatures no matter where I went. Some areas felt very very underpopulated and boring. If they had made the outdoor areas more immersive i would have loved it. I am looking forward to the elder scrolls: oblivion coming out soon.

Yeah, GOTY & mods (for the PC). "Better heads", "Better bodies" and most of the "Better" mods make the game look nicer. There are loads and loads of mods for the game that keep it fresh (or make it look better).

Morrowind's got its own set of problems with gameplay. Nothing horrible (my opinion) so it's worth playing. Open ended like you wouldn't believe; I've played off and on since it came out and still haven't finished the main quest (or even started Bloodmoon).

Worth playing. The graphics aren't top-of-the-line but it's a beautiful world to play in. Still worth $30 IMO if you get Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions for that price.

Oh young grasshopper. Your ways of judging a book by it's cover need to change.

Morrowind is arguably the best RPG ever made for any system.

Once you start playing, you will not even notice the graphics. The game is such an awesome, deep game, that you will be hopelessly drawn in and shall never escape.

It's pretty good, with some serious annoyances:
- stupid pterodactyl things. Jesus they're annoying.
- lame expoitabe skill system. Jump everywhere you go to increase athleticism. Once you have a decent set of armor, give a villager a whack and then go eat dinner and go to a movie. By the time you get back, your defense will be in the thousands.
- wonky AI. For example, it doesn't matter if you're spotted while snooping through someone's house. Just enter stealth mode and creep around behind them, and they forget you were ever there.

Caveat: This was with the XBox version of the game, so patches for the PC version may render some or all of the above irrelevant. Overall rating: 3 out of 4.

Been looking for a new single player game. Might have to pick this one up.

i liked being able to get glass armour within 3 hours of starting, that was a nice little trick lol. (all in game and legit too)

but yeah, very good/fun game

**Spoiler**

The best was getting the daedric daikatana, and ebony armor in the first hour or so. Nothing like a couple scrolls of paralyze + the Dren Plantation.

Damn... And I waited until I found an invisibility ring.. Ah well, got the vaults in Vivec while I was at it. ;)

Mods make a big, big difference in the game. The AI will never be advanced but there's some mods that make the game much harder. Nothing I've seen to remove the cliffracers though.

It's probably been posted 100 times already, but the Morrowind speed run is entertaining. There's so many exploits in this game but it's still fun.

Muahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh, sorry.

One thing he is right about, the game is a bottomless pit of time. So if you don't have a life (which clearly many g(l)amers don't (NEWSFLASH!)), by all means. ;) I don't go out and buy the longest movie I can find when I'm looking for something to watch.
