Connect 3d X850 Xt For Only $$449!!!!

this isn't that hot..and it's oem :) if this was the x850xtpe version...

are you a real [H]'r? a real [H]'r wouldnt care if it was PE or not. And it is a pretty good deal. Thats the cheapest you can get it online right now. The closest is a saphire that is on some noname website which shipping will cost an arm and a leg. Everyone knows that buying a PE card is worthless. Any XT can overclock to PE with ease.

if you think the extra 80 bucks justifies 5mhz....
show me some reviews where they get the PE higher than the XT by a good amount.

well...the XTPE are probably hand-picked cards that probably has the best cores/memory clocks :)

ROFL!! yeah, I can see them hand testing each one. Like I said, bring me a benchmark that shows a PE out overclocking an XT by more than a few mhz.

The memory and cores are speed binned according to performance levels. The XT PE gets the best. Its the same way with system memory and how they speed bin the memory chips according to the level their suppost to perform at.

Go look at the benchmark scores for different applications out there. You'll see the X850XT PE is leading in most all of them for the ATI cards. Even the X800XT PE outperforms the vanilla X850XT because the Platinum Editions get the best allocated to them.

Maybe that extra cost isn't worth it to you but to some people it is. Availability is pretty limited on the PE right now though so i'd probably just go with the X850XT unless you wanted to wait.

Nice price for that card.

I thought the orb listed mostly PEs because everyone flashes their card bios.

In reviews the PEs doesn't have much of an OC ceiling, but once the v mods are done, maybe they start to put more distance between themselves and the 'nilla x850. Enough distance to justify the current $140 difference? Depends on who you are, your priorities and resources. So there are a lot of "right" answers for everyone. ;)

So you would think A64 3000+ and A64 3500+ is same thing eh?
This is one of funniest comment I see quite frequently from people think they are all [H].
Rule of thumb. Most of time higher graded component will do better than lower rated ones. It's actually quite simple. Deal isn't too bad nor too good for X850XT.
