i figured we have a gallery for everything else but not one of college setups... so lets see them pics!

Man i haven't been to college/university and i'm glad, that there is a cramped space.
 
My setup in my dorm room. Mess on the left is my roommate's. His stuff is always in piles everywhere, and it pisses me off, but I can never get him to clean it up.

I also hate having bolted down furniture. The desk is bolted down on the opposite side of the room from the network jack. If I could rearrange the room, I would have my desk in the corner where the bed is right now, turned so that the backside of the desk and shelves kind of give me my own private corner of the room.

O well, I graduate in May, and next fall (when I'm going for my Master's), I will have a room to myself, and then have a common area with a couch, TV, and fridge to share with 3 other guys.

I hope to have the CRT replaced with a Samsung 710N within a couple months.

Thats what mine would look like if i lived in a dorm room. I commute so i don't have cramped space.

Dude, having a fishtank right next to (and on top of) all those electronics seems like a really really bad idea to me...

For those of us who are WAY out of college, I had a 5x86 overclocker AMD chip with 32 MB of RAM and a 2 MB video card in a no name AT case. At the time I had mad scwing. I even had a 33.6k modem. Fast as fast could be....... :D

Couldn't afford a computer. After I graduated, I bought a Commodor Vic 20 just to play with. Didn't have $5000 for an IBM PC -- that's more than my tuition for the undergrad degree. At that time a recent college grad was doing very well to be in the $20k range.
 
i'll put in a picture of my comp when it's up... but be warned: not only is it unmodded (mom bought an extended warranty and won't let me void it :mad: ) but i'm a die-hard oinker so the desk is a disaster. it looks more or less literally like someone upturned a paper recycling bin on it.
 
whats wrong with this thing? I put in one pic, its fine. i try to put in the other, and the whole thing goes to shit. what the hell? maybe this post is busted, I dont know. not spamming, dont worry, ill try one more time.
 
pics still ain't working.

try imagelink... they are almost never down... it's what i use.
 
Man, I hate hooking up and taking down my one computer every couple months and moving it. I don't know how you guys have 3/4 computers at school, that would be a pain in the ass.

Lesman - i notice that you are using the Saitek Gamers' keyboard and i was wondering if it is worth buying. I've been contemplating on whether or not to get one.

Yes, it is a great keyboard, it works really well. The keys are quiet, feel nice, and it looks cool as hell! the only thing is that the actual letters and numbers on the keys are not translucent, so you actually cant see through the letters and numbers, but ithats the only gripe I have. everything else is top notch. the wrist rest thing on the bottom is also adjustable, to fit perfect! I'd wait for the new one thats coming out, though, the Saitek Eclipse gamers keyboard, because the keys are actually translucent. Saitek heard numerous requests about it, so its gonna come out sometime. dont know when exactly, though. i saw it somewhere on some site called toms hardware, something, or other, not exactly sure.

Two....despite what she may think....your lady really needs to go up one size in her pants...they are hanging halfway down her rear. Break it to her gently....ladies don't really like being told that.

Three.....nice setup.....just LET IN SOME NATURAL LIGHT! :D

one...no i dont, the sun always sets over there, have to block it, otherwise it gets very hot in the room (just caring about my computer!)

Take pride in a nice rump sir! I always point to my wife's butt and shout THAT'S MINE!!!!

She doesn't mind. The folks in the supermarket do tend to get surprised though....

I'm a computer junkie because I love technology and every aspect of it. Computers are my specialty. It's all about finding the right girl. There's a girl for everyone out there, even if they have 8 computers, each hooked up to 3 monitors, with their SLI cards overclocked, and the innnards of one computer spilled out to the floor with strange tubes everywhere that screams "my system is -50 below zero!" Everyone who likes computers is supposed to be "the nerd" or whatever, but I've never been labeled as "the nerd" I hope I'm not the only one out here like me. I'm in a band, I have my fair share of popularity, and I'm a tech geek. All in one! but if I had to choose a side, it would be you guys and technology all the way! I consider [H]ard Forum my virtual home, and all of you my brothers. (and sisters, if theres any girls)

Lesman, that mouse's red sticks out like a sore thumb. You should try to do an L.E.D. mod on it and make it blue :) Your setup would look even more pimp.
