I need some program to convert WMV and AVI's to MPEG...any good free ones out there? I couldn't find any on Doom9. Thanks for anyone's help!
 
I know graphedit will convert them to DivX avi files, you'd then have to convert those to mpg.
 
I got a question relating to this too

If you convert .avi to .wmv would there be any loss in quality?

and is it possible to convert .ogm to .wmv too without loss of quality?

the creative zen player media center only does videos in .wmv format grr good thing I dont have one yet

if you know a product similar it please post it
 
tmpgenc trial version gives you 30 day support for mpeg2 and unlimited for mpeg1.
