FS: laser diodes

Hey,

I have some laser diodes for sale. They are bare diodes with a + and - wire soldered on.
They emit and red laser about 1/8 of an inch in diameter and take 3V. They are the same diodes that are in most laser pointers.
I haven't had much of an opportunity to do any projects with them though. Sorry for the bad pics, I don't have a digicam yet and used my phone.

I am asking for $3 shipped for each.

Do you have a spec sheet for them? And do they need a lens, or do they already have one? I'm interested in a couple :)

Sorry, I don't have a specs sheet. They do have a lens. The laser has a range of about 120ft I think.

Well do you know normal power or current usage? Also are you sure it's only 120 feet? That would be fairly small for a laser pointer.

120 feet is just a guestimation since last I heard most laserpointers have that range.

hmm just thinking of the jokes you could play by hooking these up so when someone hits a trigger by say opening a door it activates em like gun laser markers. :D
