Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Just an update to this.
Today i clean installed Windows 10 and i didn't need to do the diskpart stuff.
Created a USB Stick with Rufus tool with the settings i posted above (picture). I just had to delete all the partitions and when only the unallocated space was there i clicked "New" then...
In some places users report that writing zeros to the SSD affects the SSD lifetime, that's why i'm concerned about that diskpart stuff. My real doubt was if i really needed to do that, which apparently i do according to bigdogchris, but i guess i'll find out when i try it, i'm just waiting for...
So, if i don't use the diskpart i'll get an error when trying to hit next i guess.
I was afraid that using those commands would hurt the sdd life or something.
Thanks for the info!
So i just need to follow that. What about the Secure boot, it needs to be enabled, right? I read that Fast Boot also needs to be enabled, is that true?
And what about the "Where do you want to install Windows?" part? This:
In the past i always deleted the...
Hi guys,
So... i was just surfing some sites and i came to a UEFI tutorial and in that tutorial it said to open "msinfo32" and check the "BIOS Mode" to see the actual system mode.
I did that and for my surprise it says "Legacy". I then suppose that i'm using a MBR partition and not using...
Yea, i've seen those but i won't do it, i would probably screw everything up and ending without anything lol
It's a shame that these panels have such issues. I'll probably send it back but its like you said, what if the new one comes in the same conditions?! baah
I even notice serious glow...
Just to update this.
Ended up buying the Dell P2414H, got it today but as this is my first IPS monitor i need some advices.
As soon as i turned it on i noticed some light-bleed (or glow????) in the left bottom corner, i believe, especially if i am on black backgrounds. I tried to take some...
I've seen on the DEAD review that he mentions the VX239H is Overshoot free. Do you think that this monitor would be a good alternative despite not having the Overdrive Control then? I previously mention one video i saw where the cube had some noticeable "ghosting", maybe this is because of the...
Yes, i see that the IPS/PLS technologies tend to always have back-light bleeding/glow. I think that's the price we have to pay to get the good colors that they reproduce.
I've seen that Dell U2414H but here's at 224. And the P2314H for 177 but not sure about this one. I read good things...
What about the LG 23MP75HM for 168€?
From this video i didn't noticed any kind of backlight bleeding or glow effect, but not sure.
I've also seen some info about the LG 24MP55HQ-P which we were talking about, example: this, this and this. Not sure if this is also important.
Do you think...
How could i missed that?! Didn't even noticed that the name was the same :D
The problem of Asus VX239H is that it doesn't have Overdrive Control otherwise it would be a perfect choice since it's flicker free too. Speaking of it, does the LG has Overdrive Control?
Regarding the LG's, like...
Hey NCX, thanks for the answer!
Yea i knew that the LG is flicker free and the MX239H isn't (i think it's the only problem that MX have, except the bigger price that you've mention too).
I've seen this review of the 590PL and according to it the monitor is quite good for gaming aswell...
Guys, i really need your help.
I'm searching the web since over a month and still can't decide what to pick. I want something 200<
I've seen so much options that i ended up not knowing what to choose.
At this moment i have the Asus MX239H in mind, but i really don't know. I was...
