Low cost/high quality headphone amp? Any advice welcome...

Hello all, first post in a while so please be gentle! Right now I'm looking to upgrade my audio equipment, which is used with my PC. I have a set of Edifier TII Studio Monitors (active) and a set of Sennheiser HD555's, both hooked in to a "Y" splitter which is plugged into my Xonar D2X...

    27" QNIX QX2710 Evolution 2 impressions

While I havent used a "standard" IPS panel, I can say that the one in QNIX is several orders of magnitude better when compared to a TN panel in terms of colour clarity, depth and general contrast. I'm very impressed with it. It's true that once OCing to 120hz the colors change (noticeably...

    27" QNIX QX2710 Evolution 2 impressions

Received QNIX qx2710 Evolution II, Pixel Perfect in Matte yesterday. Right out of the box next to my 24" TN panel Samsung 300A, the sheer resolution and colour clarity were great and really puts the old TNs to shame for the price. Tried three overclocks, 96hz, 110hz and finally 120hz - all...

    Another Vista thread

Your first issue, the network - Vista has completley overhauled the new network and where it may be a little harder, after a few goes you're easily up and running. First, to disable the password you simply turn off 'password protected sharing' in the network and sharing center. Second, you go...

Good mobo / CPU / Mem for a web backup server?

If you use raid5, you can use three 1TB drives, two striped and one backup, so if one fails the data can be remade onto the two drives that still function. You might want to wikipedia raid5 and raid10 You will need a dedicated raid card for anything like raid 5 or 10.

    XP 32BIT Vs. Vista 64BIT

You can also make your 32bit Vista think there's more than 3-3.5gb of ram, but it's better to have 64bit straight out. I use 32bit myself, but it wouldn't be a problem for me to switch to 64bit whenever I need it. I'd go 64bit.

    Post Your VISTA DeskTOPS !!

No offence taken. The thing is, in games, I have eyecandy as much as possible, but where i'm working or developing, on my desktop, i normally prefer to have minimalist desktops, but I have varied before. My main actaul gripe is, as you pointed out, bloatware just to run a simple...
