Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You are correct. I just wanted to point out that the number of dev kits in the market for the next generation of hardware isn't what you would have for xbox 360 or ps3. A company currently in development may not want/be able to waste a dev kit on E3 when they can just use a PC instead.
This...
THIS.
Not to mention, true dev kits do not grow on trees, if a company is in development of a game do you really think they would waste a dev kit on E3? A test kit would normally be sent but I haven't seen or heard of any of those coming in yet so I'm assuming that they will not be released...

I'm floored that this is the only mention in this whole thread about the fact that it comes with a pen.
fta: "The price includes a stylus and software that disregards touches from one's palm while writing on the touch screen."
I'm sad that most of you didn't seem to even read the...
Maybe not having people dumb enough to walk into traffic because of a cell phone (or augmented reality glasses) in the gene pool wouldn't be the worst thing in the world?
I'd be thrilled, for now, with a patch to fix the huge amount of bugs that exist in the game.
Having said that, that video shows off some really great stuff, but just because they can demo something after a week of unhindered/undirected development doesn't mean that the "functionality" shown...
I preloaded it on Steam and had a chance to check it out last night.
The Good:
When the game was working I enjoyed the multiplayer experience. The games were a little short but the maps in my opinion were much better than the MP maps in BO. I like the new gun leveling system as opposed to...
You're making an assumption that he is not developing anything new here with your thought on the octrees. I also don't understand how the pointer would take up more data than a 'voxel' that he has claimed he is not using. If you have an instance of an object that contains the point cloud, you...
I am honestly clueless about voxels as I don't deal with them in my work but I had some comments. I would first ask you to define what you mean by trees being memory inefficient because they use pointers.
Personally I don't see why a tree using a pointer would be inefficient on memory, that's...
Long time reader, first time poster.
Im not going to claim to be a computer genius who excels at graphics or anything of the sort but I was curious about something. A lot of the posters on this thread are talking about memory requirements for storing the information about the scene, and this...
