    if you live near a microcenter it would be worth it to ebay the cpu and get a 3570 IMO. you can bet a 3570K and a motherboard for about 280.00 tax included. if you can reuse the memory on your old board that would be a win

    bought an EVGA GTX 480 from newegg for 209.00 and have it overclocked to GTX 580 levels.... Metro2033 is just fine at max settings at 1080P

    i5 3750k vs Q9550

    went from a q9550 at 3.6ghz to a i5-3570K mainly for sata3 and other stuff with z77 motherboards. I do not notice that huge of a difference as i have a fast SSD in my system. I am rocking an EVGA GTX 480 at 825mhz so I have plenty of GPU power for games, it gave me a huge boost from my GTX 460...

    you should be fine, 650watts is enough for most systems, GPU's and CPU's are more power efficient then they used to be
