So, I unplugged the new HD and it still freezes. I then switched the OS HD to my other SATA6 ports and it still freezes. Maybe I have a faulty OS HD or my RAM, CPU, GPU is causing the lock-up I would suspect? Maybe a heat issue? I don't know.

I guess I'll disable/detach it and see what happens - I was trying to avoid that, but...

With you all sending your units to these guys for $160 why wouldn't you just buy the 300W BASH amp and make a slight mod to your enclosure, then use a decent receiver for the sats? I saw someone selling 20 of them on Ebay for $125 w/ free shipping.
