Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
+1 to this, the devs in other words, need get the games with less bugs and more optimizations on any console or pc, if they work with nvidia, ati or even better both of them, they can get the games running better and that will be more sales. cause it implies a better game at the end. no matter what.
rage pro
geforce2
geforce ti4600 awesome vcard
ati 9800 pro awesome vcard
ati 1950 pro RIP
geforce 6200 temporally
geforce 8800gt borrowed
ati 4850

gtx470 sli awesome combo for surround gaming
LOL, none of them are future proof the 7800 or 7900s will be out and the 6800s will be underpower? same for nvidia side. 580s or 680s what ever is going to be is going to be the same.
From my experience of an entire computer rig, the vcards are the first ones that lose or there is a new shit...
To much Hype on the 6800s and is not a big deal, just improved 5850s and 5870s, nothing really impressive on the table but improved stuff. looking forward on the 6900s
Now i would really like to see a real crossfire scaling since all the cf i have seen is on 1900X1200.. that resolution doesn't...
In conclusion
Xfire is broke and needs to get fix asap has been more than 8 months and still not working correctly.
What is not broke? older drivers?
Fine.
SLI scales much better than Xfire.
Have tried, have been there, but the true is that sli delivers more performance.
Ok here it goes from my experience.
ATI 1 or 2 monitors 1 Video card = Ok
Nvidia 1 or 2 monitors 1 Video card = OK
ATI 1 or 2 monitors 2 Video cards (xfire) = OK
Nvidia 1 or 2 monitors 2 Video card (SLI)= OK
ATI 3 or more monitors 1 Video card (eyefinity)= random issues (display port...
Just do it
From my experience i moved from eyefinity to surround, and surround is better for my taste, why?
Display port flickering is gone for good, tryied active DVI and VGA adapters and both had diferent issues, that 3rd screen output is just random shizin!.
Better drivers overall...
only benchy test will actually show that, that's why i said that i would love to see some benchmarks. Yes in theory is suppose to, but in real life gaming situation we cant tell, i bet crysis and some other games will can show a big difference because of the 2gbs, but in many scenarios maybe...
eyefinity
its more at the end no matter how you look at it.
i currently have 3 of your asus 25.5 and is just awesome.
30 inch is just meh. doesn't compare at all
you will never have the same experience from a single display vs panoramic.
Thanks for all the comments guys, now i have a clear idea why not to go for another 5870 at the moment or not go for it at all, and wait for new ati cards 6870s possibly next get with eyefinity and more power overall.
I have 1 5870 running eyefinity 5700X1200 with bezel comp, and everything...
now, if we can only have a review with resolutions with 3X1 (5700X1200 aka eyefinity) with Xfire 5870s 1 gb vs xfire 5870s 2 gbs That would rock and that would be a nice comparation and see if the 1 gb vs 2gbs on xfire is really needed or at the end is only few FPS.
Cause on this review is...
