Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
IDK if you would want to use linux... but I know a software raid would work. I'm not a linux guy but I see many posts about software raids using cheap controllers
I'm liking the Samsung drives. They're actually running much cooler then the WD green.
The controller is a standard super micro affair. It's the PCI-x one. I would have like to get the PCI Express but newegg wasn't selling it.
As For adapters I'm using the Coolermaster 4 in 3 adapters...
Blue fox would be correct. I'm active duty navy serving in italy. Those are converters. They are just physical interfaces as most Power adapters now a days are dual voltage (which btw is fucking awesome)
My server.... =] I love being a geek. I have 11 1.5TB Samsung 5400rpm drives and 1 1.5TB WD green. The green is the system drive. I haven't gotten the power cables yet so I couldn't hook up the last 4 drives. As soon as I get the stuff in from frozen CPU I'll update the post.
12 1.5TB =...
Good question. I've seen a couple of people with multi card setup's. From what I've seen it's been a mixed bad to have the dedicated card. I'm sure if you google it, you'll find some info.
Ugh... So I'm building my new HTPC and I have a valid legit home premium cd-kay which I shelled out the money for but I have no install media.... Does anyone know where I could download a legit compy of Vista home premium so I can install the f****** thing?
Well I just got the rest of my stuff for my WHS and HTPC build. I'll make a quick equipment list for ya then I'll start uploading pictures later! I love being a geek!

I can tell you one thing.... For a guy in the military and especially for a younger one who might move/deploy often these are the thing to have. Ever tried to pack a desktop computer into a sea-bag for an underway?!?! This thing will play any modern game out there. Game desktops are a godsend...
