Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Anyone else had this problem? Apple Cinema connected to XFX 5870 via DisplayPort.
All I get is a blinking cursor before the option to enter the BIOS. If I disconnect the DP connection and use DVI, it boots fine. As soon as I get to the Windows 7 login screen, I connect the DP screen and it...
I have to agree, been building PC's for years, and Sandy Bridge has been - by a considerable margin - the most troublesome.
About to order my fourth board for this rig (new GD65 won't even boot into BIOS with DisplayPort monitor attached - fine with DVI).
Just bought some of this after reading countless great user opinions, will use it when the new P8P67 board replaces this 'defective' one. Currently using AS5 (idle 28*C, load 65*C), so will be interested to see the difference in temps.
Currently running 4.4Ghz @ 1.345v. Workhorse computer so stability is key (negligible performance gains between 4.4 and 4.8 with Lightroom/Photoshop), I might try and push 5Ghz to see what vcore I can get away with. Idle 28*C, Load, 64*C (without the three AP181's, they are off for RMA, have a...
Very similar to my current 24/7 o/c, although I opted for 1.275 (drops to 1.260 under load with LLC Ultra High). Other differences:
Phase: Optimised
Duty: Thermal
VRM: Auto
Also reduced CPU PLL to 1.725 (will lower that to 1.675 soon).
RMA set-up for three replacements. The AP181s were the loudest things in my case by some margin (noise and vibration). Hopefully the new set will be as advertised.
Idle temps gone up just 5*C with all three lower fans turned off. Cool room however, they will do their job in the summer :)
It wasn't the filter, it was the actual mount that the fan was attached to (the bit connected to the case with two screws). One would assume with a £175 case that the fan would function in it's own housing :)
Evening all.
Completed FT02 build this evening. Turned it on, and heard one of the 180mm fans clicking, loudly.
A few seconds later, that clicking turned into an awful sound of grinding plastic.
Opened up the case, removed the fan only to find one of the fan 'fins' had broken off. Upon...
