thanks to all of you, 1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc it's for my parents so...they generally do pretty light work ie browsing, email, lots of solitaire, some digital photo stuff...really would like to build them something that will serve them...

i haven't had a problem with the psu yet but i am not a fan of the rpm control. had my suspicions about a 4 year old antec psu anyhow. thanks for all the advice guys.
