    The NUC is entirely too convenient for your situation imo. If anything is wrong they can toss it in a USPS Priority 2 Day box + some padding for $15 and you can take care of it. NUC + SSD + ram makes for a nice neat package. Maybe they'll like the tiny form factor too - definitely a space saver...

    FX6300 bent pins / broken pins

    I'm sorry I didn't get to your guys' questions before the auction ended. By broken, I meant there were pins missing and quite a few bent.     I see i7 920s for about $30-50 on ebay... but the cheap hexcores are only little bit more than that at $75-90 and OC up and beyond 4ghz very easily.     E8400 vs Q9650 for gaming

    Have you considered doing the 771 to 775 mod to get quad Xeons running in standard 775 motherboards? You can find equivalent Xeons for $15-45 versus $90+ for Core 2 Quads. I don't know if your motherboard works for it or not, but you can find it in these threads...
