What brightness setting is that? What is the manufacture date on the sticker on the back of the monitor? Those corners are bad. I would be sending those back for an exchange. I have seen 5 u2415's all sep 2014 manufacture date and none of them have dark corners like that. If the are dark on...
You are talking about the u2414h correct? The u2415 IMO has a much nicer panel. Any yellowing I have seen in the 5 u2415's I have looked at was corrected easily in the Custom Color mode. It looks lik eyou definitely had a different issue than what I experienced. I believe the yellowing I...
I am pretty sure the yellow tint is the result of factory calibration. It is possible to get rid of the yellow tint if you switch to preset "Custom Color" mode. Then adjust the RGB settings. Usually you will just need to lower R and G (mid 90's). On my u2415's 3 of mine have no yellow tinge...
I don't think the viewing angles will change. What is your main concern with the one you have? is the screen blotchy in normal viewing conditions? If you aren't happy with it definitely exchange it. They usually will let you keep the one you have till the new one arrives.
I was in a similar position. I was replacing 3 Dell 2209wa's. They are IPS with CCFL backlighting and pretty aggressive anti glare coating. The 2209wa has much less IPS glow and bleed compared to current gen LED IPS monitors. I tried u2142m, u2413, u2414h, benq bl2411pt, and hp 24zi before...
I've tried about 5 24" IPS monitors before finally settling on the u2415. It is by far the best of the ones I have tried (listed earlier in thread). I think the problem with the coloring (yellowish) is due to the calibration they perform at the factory. I suspect the units all aren't...
Bummer. I hope you get a better one. One thing you may want to do is try swapping the cables on them and see if it is a monitor thing or color profile. (that may or may not be a good test depending on how windows assigns them.) I would go in and check that you have the right color profile...
@hellrazerxtc - Yellow tint: Try setting the Preset Modes to Custom Color. I found standard mode was different for color on 1 of 3 monitors. However Custom Color seems the same for them all. Another thing to try is go into the menu and reset color settings. Also do a factory Reset in menu...
I had a u2414h... the panels weren't even near as nice as the ones on the u2415. Also the touch buttons on the u2414h are very frustrating as they take multiple presses to work. I wasn't a big fan of the u2414h. For me I wanted a 1920x1200 monitor and was not happy with it because it was...
