Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

Yeah, trying to go another route but only if they sell. I could shave off $125.0/each but only for [H] folks and if you buy all four. :)

Not necessarily. For the SM board, you can find the board revision on the PCB left-top near the board model ID.

What board revision do you have Qinsp? Actually, I was curious as to what the latest board revision was for the H8QGL was. Anybody know this information? Thanks.

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

The CPUs for my other setup arrived so I tested them with the current board, but I still can't OC the thing without backing down the voltage. :P I now have 4 AD chips running at 3.0 at 1025mV. I want more, but 3.0 seem to be the ceiling at that voltage and I can't back it down anymore without it...

    H8QGL lost LAN ports.

I had the same problem with an H8QGL, mac addresses were showing up as 02:10:00:00:00:00/02:10:00:00:00:01 instead of 00:30:48:XX:XX:XX and no connection could be established. A CMOS reset fixed the problems with LAN1/2 but the IPMI_LAN never worked since and I had to switch to LAN1 to connect...

Cleaned and rotated for good measure but still unstable. X'D

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

Cosmic rays? :p Honestly, it's possible its an entirely different issue altogether. I'll get back with you on that after I finish this WU. Hopefully this will provide more insight. Will do, was planning to completely change the fan layout anyhow which (because of the layout) means I have to...

    This was with HT1 speeds.

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

I set the speed to HT1 but it didn't seem to help. However, I finally got an error at post after a reboot @2800Mhz/1050mV, "CPU0X/Node0X:HT Link SYNC Error".

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

Tried the new TPC tear, no apparent effect at the moment :( However, I only tried 1.175V, 1.185V and went back 1.15V just to cover most bases. How far can I push it? Is TPC modifying VDDHTTX? Thanks!

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

I can't seem to find an option to change the HT using 2.0. There is an option for HT1/Auto but that seems to be it. I changed the power supply to a brand new one but same model (AX1200) just to remove doubts that it's PSU power delivery at play (still reboots) . To test the cumulative...

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

No, no errors in the post screen :( Fixed the mac address problem with a cmos reset but I'll try F9 if it pops up again. Some other observations. I seem to have 2600 stable using method 2. Set voltage is 1075mV, sensors at ~1104mV/1096mV/1072mV/1072mV with CPU0 always higher and CPU3 always...

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

Flashed the bios/romholes did psmax 1, was able to do 1% then the system rebooted. :( On a unrelated note, I can't seen to use LAN1/2 or PMI_LAN to connect to the network, Ubuntu or Windows server 2012 does not detect them. My LAN1/2 macs also appear as 02:10:00:00:00:00/02:10:00:00:00:01.

Problems overclocking 6276 extra spicy (4P)

Tried flashing with flashrom but failed with some a "write/read" error. Disabled IPMI but still failed with the same error. Proceeded to flash using afudos and it worked but I guess the romhole wasn't updated?

Here's the output. Also tried setting NB to 1800 and 1600Mhz but that didn't help. I'll flash the bios just as soon as I'm physically there with the unit, just using a terminal at the moment. Thanks. /var/log/syslog.1:May 2 21:02:41 StaMaria mcelog: failed to prefill DIMM database from DMI...
