Hmm. A Dell m14x w/ the 3GB 555 GTX. I went over to look at the specs on the GT 555 compared to the GTX 560...and was disappointed to learn that the 555 is "variable". I wonder if there is anyplace I can go to lookup the 555 as its installed in the Alienware? The 3GB seems to more than...

Yeah. and the m18x? Could you imagine hauling that thing out in the front row of some college class? The prof. would be like "Get Out! You're Expelled!"

Jobs really did a number over there. Took the LCD/touch panel industry to bed in one giant Apple orgy of domination. Nothing against OS X, just don't like a monopoly. Weren't we supposed to learn something from Microsoft Anti-Trust a decade ago? I don't have an opinion of the Dell...

I would love a docking station for my gaming machine. I hate plugging in all the peripherals and the video monitor and the power adapters twice a day, everyday. But I don't think such a thing exists. Anyone want to join me in a startup? DisplayPortDockingPortGamingSystems.com or...

I just priced out an m14x that came in right at $2k. My only complaint is that I wish I could have 1920x1080 on the 15". I've been reading about computer manufacturers having a hell of a time keeping the 16:10 format alive, b/c LCD panel manufacturers want to streamline their ops for TVs AND...

I saw the Quadro on an HP workstation as well. My only quandary would be driver support. I haven't done much research on those model cards, but I'm suspicious that the "one game I really want to play" would have some quirk where the Quadro card doesn't work. Might just be paranoia... You...

I have the Dell U3011. 2560x1600. I think that HDMI 1.4a is capable of displaying at that resolution, but that particular monitor only does the highest resolutions with DisplayPort or DVI Dual-Link. Between the 2, DisplayPort offers more bandwidth and deeper color. (1.07 Billion I think) I...

Budget is $2000 for Windows 7 machine. I want DisplayPort (or I suppose Dual-Link DVI) and a graphics card with 2GB of VRAM or more. I want space for 2 HDD. I already have a 256GB SSD, so its fine if it comes with only one. Suggestions?

Thanks, but I'm actually wanting the MSI 560Ti w/ 2GB of VRAM.

Boo. I wanted next gen card news. Especially more VRAM on all the cards. Higher resolutions are becoming the new standard w/ 30" monitors and dual/triple monitor gaming becoming much more common. 3D just isn't taking off as much as the electronics manufacturers wish.....especially with...

Sadly, NewEgg is out of stock...been waiting a week but nothing yet... Anyone know if they sell these elsewhere? Too much more wait time and I might just have to get the 580 Extreme with 3GB....and hope to SLI them down the road next year or something.... :(

Sorry, was working on my last reply when you posted this. I'm going to do some more testing before I pull the trigger. $20 in rebates (for 2 cards) isn't enough for me to jump without looking a few more times. Who knows, they might knock the price down next week and include a free copy of BF3...

I think I'm sold on the 2x560Ti2GB. Both you and Mr. Morris seems to be in agreement there. My wife has a smaller screen, and I was thinking about setting up a newer machine for her....I may put the 570 in there. What do you think FMV is on the EVGA Superclocked 570? Too bad the MSI...

I'm sitting back about 2 feet :D I suppose Borderlands might not be the best game to determine if I'm having aliasing problems. I don't know why AA seems to help clear that up for me....maybe its just in my head. I do sometimes get tearing, which seems to coincide w/ low fps in some games...

Does the above statement refer to a 2.5GB card or to the 1.2GB card as well? Would a second 1280MB 570 solve my problems, or do I need both SLI & 2GB (or more) of VRAM to solve my issue? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of choices out there ATM when it comes to video cards with 2GB or...
