Not possible. I used a small piece of black duct tape to block the light of the power LED. Works perfectly and the tape is only visible up-close. -

Just read the TFT Central review. Surprisingly good monitor. Great contrast and quite fast. But the 240Hz PWM is very disappointing. Hopefully, TP Vision will sell these VA panels to other manufacturers, so flicker-free versions hit the market. -

Not ideal, but tons of people have bought Korean-only monitors as well. Also, if Americans order from Amazon.co.uk, can they return the monitor to Amazon.com if there is a problem? If possible, might be a work around. -

Those figures have nothing to do with total input lag, though. Philips is talking about the response time of the panel only. Input lag is response time in addition to processing time by the internal scaler and such. So Philips is probably correct, but they take the best case grey-to-grey... -

MrGrumpie, you said earlier that input lag is acceptable. You even said you think it's slightly less than the 32" VA panels. But how's the motion blur? Is that acceptable too? Would you say it is possible to play FPS games on the monitor without much trouble? -

Well, this sucks. My monitor is not immune after all. I've discovered a location that flickers on my monitor. Open these coordinates in Google Earth: -35.869005, 137.128539 (or direct link here). The two fields of farmland flicker on my monitor. But only the fields, nothing around it. -

Well, it depends. For games, certainly, but for normal desktop use, I'd say a curved monitor isn't an optimal choice. If I'm working, I want my lines to be straight. Picture distortion sucks if you're editing. I disagree. It is not too rosy if people would stop being obsessed about super high... -

Picture quality wise, it seems so. Manufacturers have never been able to entirely overcome clouding, banding, ghosting, streaking, poor viewing angles, terrible contrast and so forth. It is unlikely this will change, since it is inherent to current LCD technology. There's only slow progress when...
