Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Personally I'd like to go AMD again and would even accept a little less performance than Nvidia, but the combination of much higher cost and much lower performance is just a deal killer.
Better still would be a 3rd party that wasn't US based though. But that won't happen the next 100 years at...
In such cases it always seems more disconcerting for the 'victims' that the US authorities get involved and might get access to the info rather than the hackers having done so.
Or at least additionally to the hackers having the access.
But people could just be decent from themselves. I mean if it has no option then it means you could also play it at the war museum in Japan or hiroshima memorial in Japan, but I didn't hear reports that that is happening.
'most users are children'? Every person I saw on TV that was playing it was between 18 and 28. Does Franken even have data on the average age or is he just making it up as he goes along? Sounds like he's probably not a licensed researcher - but IS a nurturer and a member of several twelve step...
Not an issue, since they don't want data on US citizens in the first place, it's foreigners they want to spy on, the locals have their data already intercepted at the routing without warrants.
So true so damn true, plus people paid for that bandwidth, it's part of their contract, which they paid for.
And actually 7% of the users using 20% seems rather mild, it shows indeed that times have changed since there was a time that such use would represent 80% of traffic, but now everybody...
If this net neutrality thing is really killed, or mangled by that proposed deal, then I think in 6 months nobody will care to have broadband anymore.
These might be short-lived figures indeed.
I like the wide-eyed naïvity of the author when he says the BIOS switch was 'accidentally' set to a higher clocked BIOS on the review samples, so cute :)
Personally I still think running close to 1000Watt (480SLI) for a simple game is madness, even a single 480 seems just too much watt for games really, you have to keep it real.
And I also don't like noise, so yeah this game might work good with an 480 or 2, but I'm not sure it's all worth it...
