Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thought I'd give you guys a headsup, since the case is solved.
It seems that my CPU fan had no thermal paste whatsoever!
It was a big shock, I didn't see this coming because I was sure the place from which I bought it from was very reliable.
Now my temp at peak are about~ 65-75 C, and idle...
Well guys I'm off to bed. Thank you very very much for helping me clear it up. I'll call up a tech tomorrow and see what I can do about it. If you guys have tips on what I should avoid or how this situation can be solved easily let me know please.
Again thanks for the quick and awesome help. :)
LOL it's ok. ;)
Yes, it is working, blowing out air to the inside of the comp. (it doesn't have an exit blow, btw, only the one in the rear does have a blow exit from the PC itself, and the one in the top).
and also, just btw, my laptop decided to take that one pic upside down. I'm guessing you...
So should I avoid doing anything in the meantime? I guess it has been going for quite some time. This is just so weird. When I touch the right metal side where the CPU should be, its warm, but I wouldn't say 90+C'. I don't get this.
Yes, funnily enough the temps are so high even when both of the side covers are off, and when it loads it reaches 100C'. The air conditioning is on even but it doesn't change the picture.
Here's RealTemp:
I live in the Middle East- Israel, which is a bit far from the Upper West Side, so doubtfully you can help me much there, appreciate it though! :D
Here are the comp pics, pretty bad :(
Should I take another pic in a different pose?
Okay, so here's GPU-Z:
CPU-Z:
Sadly no receipt or anything of that sort - I bought the comp in a different city to where I live right now. :\
I will upload the photos soon, but they're not the best of quality since the only non broken cam I got is my laptops!
These are the spec of...
That guy down below you is right. :( I've no idea how to do that stuff plus I don't have the right equipment to do so I'm afraid.
Well, now that I opened it, it runs IDLE at ~86-7C (maybe I cheat because the case is wide open now?). When I opened Firefox, it jumped to ~98!
I never...
Ok, so I just shut down the computer and started to do some finger work to clean the dust off the fans.
These are the readings now...:
GPU: 52 C'.
Temp 1: 42 C'.
Temp 2: 93 C'.
Temp 3: 54 C'.
Temp: 0 C'.
Core 0: 97 C'.
Core 1: 94 C'.
Core 2: 99 C'.
Core 3: 100 C'.
Just so we're clear.... is...
Hey guys. I got Nvidia 275 gtx and i7 920, and recently I started to notice hangs here and there. I was wondering maybe something is wrong with my fans? It's a hot summer here.
I downloaded SpeedFan and RealTemp
Both show the same numbers.
Taken from SpeedFan:
GPU: 0 C'.
Temp 1: 46 C'...
