This review is based on revision 1.0 of the card. Revision 2.0 is a black PCB along with slightly better cooling(they added a retention bracket on the back of the card and modified the heatsink design). I have two of the revision 2.0 cards in a mining rig and they never go above 75C under full...
20nm isn't anywhere near ready for production and won't be until Q2 2014. Even if AMD/NVIDIA wanted to release products based on 20nm they can't which is why we have NVIDIA's 700 series lineup and whatever AMD responds with this fall.
We won't see products based on 20nm until Q2 2014 at the...
IF and that's a big if Nvidia drops the price of the 780 it's directly due to the fact that AMD has released a product that competes or bests the 780 which is EXACTLY what we/consumers want. How is that too little too late?!?! AMD is responding to the market. This isn't new, it's a game of...
This amazes me. How exactly is this underwhelming if it's faster than a 780 and $100 cheaper?! If you haven't figured it out yet, the 20nm process is NOT ready and won't be ready until Q2 2014 at the earliest. That means we aren't going to see new generation products from AMD/NVIDIA until...
I'm about to sell my 7970 (1265core/1700mem) and upgrade to GTX 780 SLI. I'm gaming on a Dell Ultrasharp 30" @ 1600p, so I'm looking forward to the performance increase SLI gives me. I'm still running X58 with an i7-970 @ 4.4ghz so I shouldn't have a problem pushing the 780's in SLI.

13.1 is basically 12.11 beta11 with some FC3 fixes and WQHL'd. The beta drivers coming out in the next few weeks will have the frame rate latency changes.
Well I just hooked it up and did some calibration on it, all I have to say is wow. This looks fantastic. I can't believe I used a TN panel for so long. Downloading some 1080p content right now for shits and giggles. Overall, i'm pretty happy, time to check out the PS3 and some gaming.
I picked up my FP241w on my lunch hour today. It has a Mfg date of May 2007. I'm going to be using this mainly for gaming/multimedia. PC hooked up through DVI and a PS3 hooked up through HDMI. What issues will I run into with the older firmware?
Thanks,
Im picking up the FP241w on Monday. I'm currently using a 22" Acer 2216wbd which has served it's purpose but I want a good 24" with 8bit color that's good for multimedia/gaming. It seems hard finding a good 24" that isn't a TN nowadays.
