    1000w was not enough for a 5090

The ASRock PG1300G I picked up for $170 seems to be the highest rated PSU in that price-range. I'm not sure exactly what was going on with my setup, a combination of things but this PSU can definitely handle my 5090. Oddly enough the more expensive 1600w version doesn't seem to rate as well.

    1000w was not enough for a 5090

I didn't want to, but it was the only way. Well, now someone else will benefit. I have a shit-ton of spare parts I don't need now. I even have 64GB of slower DDR4 I don't need.

    1000w was not enough for a 5090

I went to upgrade, new ASRock 1300w PSU, new 9800x3D and my motherboard died. Picked up a used MSI X670E Tomahawk wifi on eBay for $100 and everything seems stable for now. Well, I guess any problem can be fixed if you throw enough money at it.:grumpy: Now I have a spare 9070xt, and 2 extra...

I bought a used LenovoEMC PX4-400D, what should I do with it?

I'm sure, but I'd have to at least figure out how to get the stock firmware back on it- and see if I can figure out just why it's shutting down with 4 drives in it.

I bought a used LenovoEMC PX4-400D, what should I do with it?

I ended up building my own Unraid NAS in an old Lenovo Xeon tower I picked up on eBay for like $65. Stuck 5 drives in there and added a 650w PS, suits my purposes as a file server.

I bought a used LenovoEMC PX4-400D, what should I do with it?

I think it is the original one. I know when I tried to put 4 14tb drives in it it would shut down after a minute or so.

I bought a used LenovoEMC PX4-400D, what should I do with it?

I don't recall what I did with it- I was trying to install Unraid on it and totally bricked it. I think it has a serious power delivery issue so it's mostly unusable anyways.

I bought a used LenovoEMC PX4-400D, what should I do with it?

Mine has been sitting in a closet for years. I bricked the built in firmware. It also has some power-supply issue where it will turn off if I use large drives. I suppose one day I'll play around with it some more.

How does Microcenter in-store pickup after payment work, exactly?

You're lucky- there is no way to contact anyone at the Cambridge store directly, no phone, no email, no chat, nada.

    1000w was not enough for a 5090

So I powered-off while quitting Cyberpunk with GPU-Z running. I'm seeing an occasional spike of >550w during gameplay, but nothing when I quit the game and my system borks. Occasionally this happens during gameplay but it's been happening more often when I quit a game. Anyone can help I'd...

ARC Raiders by former EA exec Patrick Söderlund

I assume the atmosphere is different on the weekend because kids have more time to play. I'm going to turn off cross-play and see if the atmosphere is any different without console players to deal with.

That's where I just got killed repeatedly. :)

ARC Raiders by former EA exec Patrick Söderlund

At this point I feel like there's a limit to just how much I can improve. As I said, my reaction times are slower and to be honest my hands hurt. So I think I will mostly just stick to casual single player games, and RPGs like I've been doing. I was having a good time playing Cyberpunk before this.

ARC Raiders by former EA exec Patrick Söderlund

I particularly gave up these types of games a while back (FPS and extraction shooters) because my reaction times were slowing down and I couldn't keep up (57M) with the kids who spend 24/7 on these games. Everyone told me ArcRaiders was different- a community of cooperation- great for solo...

    1000w was not enough for a 5090

Vetroo is supposedly a good brand- as I said they use well known OEM parts- but you'd think a brand new EVGA 1300GT could handle it. I miss the EVGA 1200W I had previously, thing served me well for a decade, through multiple setups- including a dual-1080ti SLI setup. Of course they stopped...
