5% markup isn't "profit". That's 5% over the direct cost of the item from the manufacturer. There are tons of other costs associated with selling any item. 5% is a loss. Brick and mortar items need to sell 20%-30% markup to see a profit. Hence why only huge warehouse stores like Best Buy...
