Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'd recommend the LG L245WP-BN, aka. L246WP-BN. For your purposes, it has:
- HDMI-in exclusively (ie. no DVI), but it has component in so you should be able to hook up both a pc and a PS3 at the same time.
- Input lag as low as you'll find on a 24" *VA panel (it's an MVA screen). On the...
I hate ClearType. It blurs the fuck out of all my text, gives the edges this horrible colored noise (which I notice) and just generally makes it harder to read. I like my text crisp and crystal-clear, thank you very much.
(and yes, I'm running a 24" monitor at native resolution).
I don't remember seeing anything like that when assembling mine, and I'm pretty sure I would have because it took me a minute to figure out how to attach the base to the stand properly. I think what you're seeing is part of the height-adjustment mechanism and not a part of the power supply...
I'm using the LG L245WP-BN, and I can honestly say that I have no problems playing games on it whatsoever. I used to play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (which is a very highly paced FPS) on a 17" TN 16ms ViewSonic VP171b on a semi-professional level. I picked up playing again to test the LG, and...
I'm sorry, I don't actually own a 2408WFP, I have an LG L245WP-BN. My point was that your white level is subject to your monitor settings (the contrast setting in particular). For example, on my monitor switching to user mode and playing with the brightness and contrast levels instantly let me...
I can view up until 252, but it depends on your monitor settings. Out of the box I could only see 200 as well, but fiddling with the settings solved most of that. I'm sure I could get it to show all of them, but I like my settings as they are now.
I received my L245WP-BN today. It's the same panel as the L246WP-BN, so my experience with it should also be relevant to the L246WP-BN. My unit was manufactured April 2008 in Poland, which pretty much amazed me considering how hard they're to get (even here in Belgium). I half expected this...
Well that's just a matter of how sensitive you are you input lag. For something as subjective as input lag, you can't rely on other people's experiences; what's important is knowing for yourself how sensitive you are to it, and of course knowing what the input lag is on the monitor you're...
I went with the LG L245WP. Originally I wanted to go with the Dell 2408WFP, but I quickly decided not to when I saw its 60ms input lag (which is something I can't stand). Input lag on the LG is pretty much as low as you'll find for a 24" non-TN panel (although I believe the BenQ is pretty close)...
No problems at all here in Belgium when I called to return my 2407WFP-HC. Got through pretty fast, was redirected 3 times or so and ended up with a very friendly guy who just asked me why I wanted to return it, and that was it. They came to pick it up and I was refunded within the week, smooth...
Not exactly. True in most cases, but not always. For example, I don't believe the Dell UltraSharp 2208WFP is a *VA or IPS panel. I believe UltraSharp actually refers to the stand of the monitor being capable of tilting, swiveling and rotating.
Same here. Been waiting for this monitor to come out for ages. I returned my 2407WFP-HC mainly because of the ghosting, but I noticed the input lag on it too. If the 2408WFP doubles that input lag, I'm officially out of options and will be forced to return to TN screens. Oh well.
