Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Chris, I think you can explain everything! I am almost afraid to mention that VM tech support did not return my call on Monday either - you will probably be able to explain that this is how it should be :)
Yesterday I moved a hard drive from my old PC to the new PC. At first, everything looked OK. Then, half an hour later, the new PC just turned itself off without any warning. And refused to be turned on.
OK, time to find out how good VM technical support really is. I called them, was...
OK then, I stand corrected, and apologize for my incorrect hypothesis that you explicitly asked Lian Li for a smaller drive cage to save a few dimes.
However the fact still remains that I was misinformed about the number of internal bays by a VM salesperson (probably unintentionally - I think...
Of course you know better, but looking at the insides of the computer, I just cannot help thinking that the cage was meant to be taller. The space above it has the best cooling, and is completely unused in the current design ...
For my curiosity, can you tell me what stock Lian Li model your...
I now have my new computer for a week and a half. Seems to be pretty stable, did not fail any tests that I throwed at it. 3dMark06 score is approximately 2200. 7 times slower than the fastest computer registered on their website, but still 20 times faster than my old computer :) Curious that...
Banned for advertising a new VM model I guess? I always wondered why VM does not have a forum on their own web site, and instead using hardforum to communicate with customers ...
Well, potentially you can also have more HDDs lying on the bottom of the case in a heap :) But when I got an answer that that case can hold 4 HDD, I interpreted it to mean that there are 4 places specifically designed to hold HDD...
Frankly, what really bugs me is this: the case itself is...
Chris,
The problem was that I was not informed about it. From your web page, it looked like the only difference between your "signature" case and "normal" case is a front door (which I did not want). And conversation with your sales representative did not help. I would not have ordered a...
Just received a new Velocity Micro computer. It was Campus edition, with upgraded CPU (6400), memory (2Gig), card reader and blue case with side window.
First, good things. Computer is working, no obvious problems. Case actually looks nice. Computer is pretty quiet. Not too much bloatware...
Got today my new computer. Will tell about my first impressions in a new thread. (This one is now used by many people to inquire about status of their orders, so a discussion of an actually received computer could be considered off-topic :) )
Out of curiosity - why did you choose this system? Campus edition exceeds it on almost all characteristics (better CPU, more memory) and costs less. The only factor is favor of gamers edge is SLI motherboard, but why buy an SLI motherboard with a single rather low-end graphic card?
Just got 4 emails from VM with order status updates.
So, this is my final timing:
Ordered - Sept 24
Payment approved - Sept 25
Staged for assembly - Oct 13
In assembly - Oct 13
Completed - Oct 13.
Shipped - Oct 13.
As somebody said above - "each machine is different" :)
Thanks...
Thanks, Chris, you are the bearer of good news!
I hope you are right! Although VM offers immaculate wiring only for their higher-end systems :) Is it rather funny - in VM online configurator they have an "assembly" tab - though with onle one choice, which is set to "immaculate wiring" for...
Thanks, this is very useful information. I guess you were lucky. I ordered on Sep.24, VM was pretty quick in taking payment (Sep .25), but after this there was no progress at all ...
