GeForce Partner Program Impacts Consumer Choice

Sapphire was an AMD partner for a long time, but too small to get Nvidia to allow them to sell GPUs from both manufacturers. XFX got the boot from Nvidia after they announced, they want to sell AMd cards as well. It even was reported here on HardOCP...

AMD Radeon RX 480 Supplies at Launch

Oh great. Overclockers UK has about 1/4 of the total supply that went to the US market. According to their own claims, they have 2000 RX480 in stock right now.

Ashes of the Singularity Day 1 Benchmark Preview @ [H]

Oh, I don't dismiss it - I just won't ever use it as long as my $1000+ investment is inside the warranty time frame of 2+ years. Sorry to dissappoint you, but hardware manufacturers can actually implement one time e-fuses to blow when the GPU is clocked higher than the set threshold - doesn't...

Ashes of the Singularity Day 1 Benchmark Preview @ [H]

The perfromance gains or lack thereof really depend on the game in question. As Brent stated above, ROTR doesn't see better performance in DX12 for any GPU. According to several reports, the performance is actually worse in DX12, compared to DX11. I just saw some summaries of the lessons...

Ashes of the Singularity Day 1 Benchmark Preview @ [H]

Hi there, Just registered to point out, 2 German mags already did some CPU performance testing for DX12. The ban of links in the first posts means, I just can mention the mags and headlines: Computerbase HITMAN BENCHMARKS: DirectX 12 hebt das CPU-Limit massiv an There are no DX12 benchmarks of...
