Thanks for the feedback guys.
I also have an update.
I have decided to return the card back to the place of purchase and will soon get a replacement.
In the meantime I am using my nVidia 8800GTS 512MB.
I have really given the card a workout by playing Crysis with all video settings...
Hi John,
Thanks for your reply mate.
I have just recently started to use RivaTuner and not 100% familiar with all it's features.
Do you of any sites/user guides, which walks you through the process of re-configuring the GPU fan speeds in order to achieve lower temps?
Hi Guys,
I recently bought a new Inno3D GeForce GTX295 1792MB DDR3 OC Edition (600/2160MHz) and would like to see what sort of temps you GTX owners out there are getting with your video cards at both idle and under load.
I'm using RivaTuner and my approx temps are below:
Idle: 75

Hi Guys,
I recently upgraded both the motherboard and my video card and have been experiencing ongoing issues of the same symptoms with 3 of my most played games, which are BioShock, Counter-Strike Source and Crysis.

Guys,
I came to the final conclusion that it came down to incompatibility issues between the nForce chipset and PC8500 RAM modules or just simply a faulty motherboard as I used to experience the below issues:

Hi Guys,

Brian,
I do not experience any boot up or POST issues as they only occuring if something is set in BIOS that your system cannot deal with.
I suggested that you clear CMOS and make gradual changes, section by section, saving each time as you go along.
Clearing the CMOS then going into...

I always use the BIOS when it comes to measuring CPU temps.
This morning I checked the idle temp and found that it was sitting on 35, which ain't bad.
I just assumed that less voltage, would mean lower temps but I was wrong but it's OK.

Hi Morkboy,
As I said that I'm already running the latest BIOS rev 1101 but I took your advice anyway and reflashed my motherboard with the same BIOS rev and I still have the same issue.
Maybe I should think about rolling back to rev 1001
