More than 5 years since launch, the Epic Game Store has still not turned profitable

The fundamental problem with EGS, is that it's not Steam. That's all there is to it, nothing more to really be said. If you can't offer feature parity with Steam, or have new innovative features etc that outshine Steam, you will not displace it. People don't want multiple storefronts, or game...

Does anyone here actually use their TOSLINK port on their MOBO?

Yep, goes to my JDS Labs DAC, then to my JDS Atom Headphone Amp. Lets me swap the DAC over to USB for my laptop if I want to use it at my regular desk.

Remnant 2 Devs designed game with upscaling in mind

Hogwarts ran better than Remnant 2 on my PC. Its problem specifically was loading zones, and peoples pc's being slow / not having enough ram / older slower NVME's. I had zero stutters at all, was butter smooth experience. However, I also have 32gb of Ramdisk so YMMV.

Diablo IV - The Real Official Thread

To clarify, your characters will be moved to standard league. They are not reset. They are not deleted. Still can play em too. Most simply remake them or D3 had rebirth, to refresh your character to be seasonal.

Diablo IV - The Real Official Thread

The thing that stands out to me is, why is that event not being done at the beginning of season 1? I also really don't care, HC in games like these are lame as hell. People just make weird logout macros, or remove their nic, etc etc to try and cheat around it. Half the time when I play games...

Scumbag ASUS: Overvolting CPUs & Screwing the Customer

Steve telling me not to buy an Asus board is quite literally all I need to hear. I will not purchase a board from them again. I really feel like there is a spot for a serious disruption in motherboard manufacturers. I just want a board with solid OC features, fan headers in good spots, and...

So why is Comcast trying (tracert ?) to connect to a mail server in Sunnyvale, CA when I am now in NYC?

Not uncommon for smtp out to get filtered on firewalls and such too. Seen windows firewall and home routers muck with it all too many times.

What happens when IPv6 is disabled, but devices keep receiving IPv6 Link Local Address?

Its really not supported to disable ipv6 on windows. As you are seeing, its so baked into everything on it.

NVIDIA to Put DGX Computers in the Cloud, Becomes AI-as-a-Service Provider

Nvidia is a big customer of where I work, and we are loading a ton of DGX stuff lately and they picked up a ton of SQft of our Datacenters. Hope it continues to remain high demand.

Mick Gordon (sound designer of Doom) issues statement regarding DOOM Eternal

Well now that we have both sides of the story, pretty much exactly what I figured it was going to be, just based off of how Mick is. I will no longer purchase from Bethesda, or iD software as long as Marty remains employed by them. This entire thing, is super damning of him. They legitimately...

Sins of a Solar Empire II

If they release on steam, I will purchase it. I will not support Epic Store. Period. A large segment of customers do not want to use Epic, and will not. If the developers don't want to put it on steam, that's on them...
