I think it's brand new and dang at ~$300 that is an expensive 21.5" monitor. I wonder what justifies the price difference between it and the ips226v, which I picked up not long ago for $180.
edit: what the heck, it's a TN.
Might also want to consider the ips226v if you're looking at the 2211. Better contrast ratio and response time according to digitalversus. It has also been confirmed to run 76hz w/o dropping frames. I'm planning on keeping mine (I bought 4 other monitors, all returned) until something in the...
computer A (my computer) was doing it. Computer B wasn't. To see if it was the monitor causing it I took the monitor from comp B and attached it to comp A. It still did it so it wasn't a fault monitor or cable causing it.
yeah fraps FPS doesnt seem to move, i just see random bars going "solid" for an instant. I just tested it with the monitor (and cable) that worked fine on the other computer and it does it with that one too on this computer. Odd. Are you using XP or win7?
I've noticed, for me at least, that if I move the mouse around while it's running I notice it looks like it's dropping a significant number of frames. Is this normal?
edit: well that's not good, just tested it on another computer/monitor and it didn't do it. hmm
I have a TNs and a 6bit IPS here and I have to get real close and look hard on the IPS to see any gradiation on my background image. On the TNs it's fairly obvious. Maybe the TN I have is just a bad example. A few days ago I tested out another TN (VE249H), pretty sure that was more obvious...
I've got both the 226 and 236 in front of me now. If you can handle the real estate loss the 226 is superior in every way. contrast ratio, response time, input lag, tinting, all better on the 226. The e2370v is basically a game oriented 236 and has Thru mode so it should at least improve the...
I'm testing out a VG236H right now. The backlight bleed was much less on the xl2410t I had and it crushed 1 less shade of black. I think I actually liked the BenQ better (when it worked).
The IPS236v can do 76.55Hz as well using the same timings (F2380/2333 timings). I've done what I can to try and notice stuttering/dropped frames w/o actually taking a picture and have not noticed any (I would say I am fairly sensitive to this, I see judder fairly easily) so at least it can be...
