    Of course it's normal. Before purchasing this x800 I owned a ti-4200. Some detonator releases would increase 3dmark01 scores a few hundred points, some would lower them a few hundred points.

    Not true at all. I gained 5fps in doom3 at 1024x768 on my x800 pro stock. Gained even more going to higher resolutions and at different aa/af levels. Can't wait to see what I gain with Catalyst AI.
