When MS released XP, and I saw the prices I told everyone I wasn't going to buy a copy (I'm regularly use OSX, Windows and have linux for my server (FTP) and for Folding). Oddly enough, I ended up buying two copies on what were at the time my two new pcs.
This time, no smack talk from me...
I don't think this will work out too well. I personally work at the Kitchener BestBuy in Ontario, Canada, and well we had "x-go" custom build systems before. We don't carry them anymore because it cost way too much money, well we still made profit, it just wasn't enough (computers aren't marked...
Ah yes, completely blew my mind. That's fine though, I was going to use the spare 7800GT for a SLI setup on my desktop, so I'll just get another card for the laptop.
I love AMD but they aren't so battery friendly. I only use Intels for my laptops and I've loved the Centrino. From what I've read the 6600 GO is not that bad of a card, and since it's pci-e I can upgrade later down the line.

And then a Maingear System:
With Shipping and taxes the alienware comes out to $2220.40 CAD and the Maingear $2,317.42CAD. Then I took a look at Voodoo:
I love the Voodoo Laptop, but...
Woah just checked out their website, love their stuff but hate their prices.. I customize a machine to my likings and it came out $4540.94 CAD.
But their reviews look good, has hardocp ever had a review (couldn't find out) on them? Any other choices?
Ok, I'm searching for a gaming laptop, and I have a fairly decent budget of $2500 Canadian. I want to find a OEM that ships to Canada, and will allow me to do some customizing (changing video card, uping ram, etc. like alienware.com). So far only shop I have found that'll allow me to customize...

Great company, great prices. I've been with them for almost a whole year now, and they've been great. There is always someone to help you with your site, they even helped me setup my website and get my coding in check.
