Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
While I personally never had that corrupted tekst like in your screen shot, I did get these screen flashes while browsing(powerplay changing core/mem clocks because of the GPU usage?) so I automaticly have been turning that setting off in any IE since the Catalyst 11.x drivers.
I also turn...
I'm running in 7680x1440(8080x1440 BC) and the 2x6990s I used before didn't cut it in the majority of games.
2 7990s do much better. Only Crysis 3 so far I consider not playable but then at the moment the game hovers at ~50% GPU usage on each of the 4 GPUs.
You can forget about using 4x AA...
I've had a lot of microstutter issues in the past but (forcing) v-sync fixed that usually, and now I use the fps limitter of Afterburner in Windows 8.
At the moment only Borderlands 2 still continues to feel very low fps despite running at 60 fps in Eyefinity + CFX.
I have a 7680x1440 Eyefinity setup and can't see myself ever going back to single screen. One 6990 isn't going to cut it in a lot of cases. Crysis and Crysis: Warhead have massive stutters at 7680x1440 even though fps is above 30. One fix for that is to play on gamer/high or bringing resolution...
He's not completely off base here: I've noticed this phenomenon as well when playing in 8152x1440 with Metro 2033 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games in DX10/11., fraps reports well over 30 fps but moving around is stuttery and it looks more like the game is running at half the reported fps. Mind you that...
I was using the Sapphire Active Adapter for a while and some card/driver combinations did result in the DP monitor blacking out/blinking.
But since getting going with Dell U2711s I don't need the Adapter anymore and the DP monitor hasn't blinked or blacked out on me ever since. :D
well before 10.7a I couldn't play anygame in dx10 stutter free and now I can with smooth visuals and v-sync also works fine so I wouldn't call it horribly bad anymore for ATI's side.
You could try this from rage3d:
If I'm having problems and I suspect it's because of driver install issues, what should I do?
This is what the Caveman does for Driver freshness. You'll need two free tools - CCleaner and DriverSweeper. You'll also need to know how to reboot into safe mode...
I've been using Eyefinty since Catalyst 9.12 hotfix and I can't see myself going back to 1 screen.
And since 10.7a Quadfire also works better, playing Crysis Warhead, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games World of Warcraft with the extra view is just great! :D
That's easy... Tri and Quad fire doesn't work with Eyefinity, yeah you can make the Eyefinity group but performance in games is worse than 2 GPU CFX and you get some nasty stutter.
Or you'll have to be willing to switch back to single monitor resolutions for games to get Tri/Quadfire working...
