ok, i am the idiot. it came to mind( not sure why sooner ), to check the default aa/af settings.....turned out the default AA was at 8xS. Once set back to application-controled, well nuff said.... 3dMark03 now give me 14166 so again i am the idiot and the bashing may begin now...

I just downloaded and reinstalled the newest drivers from nvidia, not sure the exact version, but i did just DL them the otehr day and installed i am using an Ultra X2 550W power supply like i said i manually set the vcore/memspeed to 450/1050 with nTune what should a normal 3dmark03...

I think i may have a bunk card I am running the following XFX 7800gt(pci-e) AMD FX55 512x2 ram running in dual channel xfi elite pro I am only getting 6700+ on the score. This to me seems low. Being a I saw a 6600gt getting 8000+ with a amd64 3200+ also the i had to manually...

well all audio lvls were raised. but the bass lvl seemed to have say a 300ish% increase compared to the rest, or so it seemed

all i know is these drivers raised my bass lvl significantly. Had to drop it down to 45% in the THX Setup Console just to keep the sub from blowing possibly.

Well the real reason for the upgrade is, i am currently running the 3500+ on a MSI Neo4 Plat. Which was an upgrade from a Neo2 Plat (went pci -e on vidcard). So pretty much just trying to part together anotehr 939 system and the fx55 was a good purchase at newegg with a free 250gig hd...

Upgrading from a 3500+(Newcastle) to a FX-55(San Diego) and have 2 questions 1) Should i be able to pop in the new cpu and boot right into windows, or would it be better to reinstall? 2) Also how big a increase (if any really) should i be expecting? thanks for any input in advance

true, but i seem to average 20fps or less in wow at 1280x1024 just trying to find a better solution until i can afford a real card cpu is a 3500+ with 1gig (512x2 dual channel)

What about a Geforce FX5600 Ultra with 256megs ...would this be better then the Ti4800?
