    Gateway FPD2485W - 24" HD LCD

Does anybody know anything more on the 720p issue over HDMI on PS3? I installed version 1.54 on my PS3 but 720p still fills the whole screen. The aspect ratio control in fact doesn't do anything on 720p. Did anyone call Gateway for this?

    NEC LCD2690Wuxi for photography / photo-editing

Thanks for the info guys. Out of curiosity, did any of you experiment with the ultra low brightness mode available through the avdvanced settings? One more kinda random question? Have you tried connecting the 2690 to HDTV signals such as 480p, 720p and 1080p? I was wondering if you can...

    NEC LCD2690Wuxi for photography / photo-editing

High brightness is actually my main issue with the current generation panels. I am glad to hear that you can turn down the brightness of your 2690 all the way down to 120 (cd/m2 I assume) but I was wondering if you could be a bit more specific on how dim that actually feels. How dark is the...

That's exactly what I thought too. The first step in tuning ClearType is choosing between RGB and BGR sub-pixel configuration and that sounds that could easily be the source of the problem. Try using the ClearType power toy at: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx

    Gateway FPD2485W - 24" HD LCD

I totally agree with you that 1920x1080 60Hz is correct. I was just curious why they didn't call that 1080p in the menu as they did with everything else (1080i, 720p, 480p). I was pointing out a matter of consistent naming not malfunction. This is interesting to know about the new output...
