Connecting Amiga 1200 to Hazro 26" LCD monitor

Thanks - let us know how you get on. Oh btw, in the Hazro back view pic, there's composite video/audio sockets (yellow, white and red phono socket - the yellow being video). Could I buy an Amiga 23 pin to SCART (and from there convert from SCART to the yellow video socket), or would I be up...

Connecting Amiga 1200 to Hazro 26" LCD monitor

Thanks. Are you very sure it won't fry the monitor? I was a little worried about this page which said: "Yes, you read that correctly. Amiga sends out too strong a signal for a SCART-enabled TV to handle. This means you may actually fry your TV if you hook it up to an Amiga the wrong way so this...

Connecting Amiga 1200 to Hazro 26" LCD monitor

Okay, here's the deal. I have an A1200, Hazro 26" monitor and some leads. Surprisingly, the Hazro monitor has an RGB 15 pin connector at the back, and I have a short 23 pin to 15 pin lead (and a 15pin to 15pin extension lead). Here are some photos: http://www.skytopia.com/stuff/amiga-leads.jpg...

    Worth replacing stock Q6600 heatsink?

If that happens, I could always get my own screws and bolts, though it may mean removing the motherboard to get underneath. Maybe there are other custom ways of doing it that people have tried.

    Worth replacing stock Q6600 heatsink?

Just to update everyone FWIW (and to maybe help others, and Teitoku if it's not too late), I ended up keeping with my current heatsink, and buying some MX-4 paste and paste removal for a tenner. A thank you to everyone in this thread and especially pgaster for his insight on the...

    Worth replacing stock Q6600 heatsink?

Thanks all. It surprises me how little attention these stock fans get. Barely any reviews anywhere (I was lucky to find that one at frostytech). What I might just do then is get some thermal paste removal and Arctic Cooling MX-4 paste, especially since I've removed and reinserted the heatsink...

    Worth replacing stock Q6600 heatsink?

I have a Core 2 quad Q6600 quad-core CPU and am interesting in buying a heatsink to replace the stock heatsink that came with the CPU (I'm not interested in overclocking, just having a very quiet PC). My motherboard is an Asus P5QL PRO. So I'm thinking of getting this heatsink as it's just...

Intel RST with Samsung 830 512GB SSD?

I've just bought Win7 OEM 64bit, along with a 512GB Samsung SSD (series 830), since my current disk-thrashing lump of metal had just about got to me. Maybe bit of a newbie question, but just wondering whether I should install the Intel RST drivers, along with all my other standard laptop...

Wireless speakers with unobtrusive USB dongle for laptop

Thanks both. That new BT 4.0 sounds good (and should presumably remove the dynamic range issues). By the way, I have a second PC which I'd also like to connect wirelessly to the speakers. Is it possible to use bluetooth to join two PCs up to one speaker set wirelessly, considering that the...

Wireless speakers with unobtrusive USB dongle for laptop

Thanks, I know nothing about Bluetooth, so I'll have to research that. Is the latency good? Do you think there might be any downsides? And why don't wireless speakers use these Bluetooth mechanism with a much smaller dongle? (Why do they go out of their way to supply their own custom giant...

Wireless speakers with unobtrusive USB dongle for laptop

I'm looking for wireless speakers, but the ones I've seen tend to have a giant dongle/transmitter which sticks out my laptop's USB port like a sore thumb. Are there any decent (high-rated) speakers which have a 'nano'-dongle similar to this mouse from Logi-tech...

    Hazro HZ26Wi rev2.1?

I think you would have to use software (perhaps your gfx card software) to calibrate, as RGB adjustment doesn't seem to work on the monitor itself with the rev 2.1. My monitor still hasn't died on me yet. Colours are vivid; well maybe some say oversaturated, but I like 'em like this on my...

    Hazro HZ26Wi rev2.1?

It does get pretty hot yes. Am I right in saying that you have an otherwise very quiet or silent PC setup?

    Hazro HZ26Wi rev2.1?

After checking again with almost everything else switched off, there's a very slight hum (very close to a sine wave - I'd say perhaps more of a triangle wave) at a frequency from 190-200 hertz coming from lower down the screen (seems to be where the base is). You can test for yourself the sound...

    Hazro HZ26Wi rev2.1?

Just received mine yesterday - no noticable buzzing from the power supply or screen from what I can tell.
